Changelly, a well-known cryptocurrency exchange, has announced its partnership with Jaxx, one of the most prominent wallets in the crypto community. Changelly’s API is going to be built directly into the application, allowing frictionless conversions between different cryptocurrencies available in Jaxx wallet.

https://news.bitcoin.com/changelly-announces-partnership-jaxx-wallet/

I think this will really benefit customers who are using this exchange and Jaxx wallet.

Jaxx wallet doesn't have in-wallet exchange of other alternative coins yet?
I thought I saw you can store ethereum and dash in the wallet already.
Or am I thinking of another one which I thought was using the other service shapshift for their in-wallet transactions from btc to the other ones and vicesa versa. Undecided

Interesting, will probably help coins that aren't BTC and ETH become more mainstream, especially ERC20 tokens.

I stopped to use Jaxx wallet after their security breaches were published. Maybe I should try it again, because these news looks interesting. But I'm still not sure that's safe to keep bigger amounts of coins on Jaxx wallet.

I am also using jaxx wallet so this addition looks quite promising, however I am quite worried about network fees changelly have for conversion.

I think even with that sploit, you don't have to worry about losing anything if you don't give physical access to your wallet to others.

Yes, in wallet exchange would be great option, now when this partneship s been formed. Something like Exouds has established with Shapeshift.

Jaxx also had partnership with shapeshift before but I have stopped using that feature due to high fees shapeshift have there. Don't have any idea regarding fee structure of changelly, hope it will be way lower than what shapeshift charges.

Exodus doesn't provide private key like jaxx so I still prefer jaxx over exodus or any other multicoin wallet.

Changelly is one of the few operations where you can get XEM for USD and EUR.

There seems to be a never ending procession of moans about them. I'm sure much of that is down to user stupidity but also all they do is buy or sell on Poloniex on your behalf. That puts you at the mercy of two companies with issues of their own.

Jaxx also has Shapeshift integrated in their wallet. Now they have two companies to choose from. Good news but when will Jaxx do an upgrade to secure their wallets? Theres an exploit out there that can decrypt your seed in case you didnt know.

Jaxx CTO already publicly said that they don't really care about this security issue because someone would need access to your device to steal the seed. And they "expect users to maintain control of their devices".

My main concern is if they will be able to succefully implement Changelly without any critical bug. Because I remember some time ago when they implemented Shapeshift, and you could end up losing your coins because of Jaxx requesting your new coins to the wrong address.

Thats not a good excuse. They should at least encrypt the seed words properly to avoid problems in the future. I thought they are trying to improve he we use cryptocurrencies by providing good security and ease of use? They should get the security issue down first before ease of use.

Yes. It was ndeed the Exodus wallet inexchange capabilities I was referring to.
I did also stop using Jaxx wallet after hearing of the security breach wel over a month ago.

I do not wish to have my bitcoin comprised no matter how little I have in this wallet in the first place.

Never touched the Jaxx wallet, but I know that Changelly was so expensive compared to the alternatives that this partnership makes me care less about Jaxx.

Maybe the lack of business because of their prices has led them to pay Jaxx for a partnership to try to recover. Lets see what will be the effect of this.
