Solo mining settings conf/geth

Some wallets I put conf file in appdata\roaming\coinname\coinname.conf make settings for solo mining and it works but some wallets ignore conf file and mining port not opens
some wallets geth --rpc --rpcport --rpcaddr and solo mining works but others don't work

I want to understamd if it is me who can't configure properly or some wallets are broken

is there comprehensive guide about wallets types and settings/opening mining ports?
