minerd cpuminer scrypt-jane on OSX

I'd like to run this not in a VM.. Has anyone been successful getting cpuminer to compile on OSX??? I've had all sorts of problems trying to get it to work.  I had got an old version to compile, but it seems it chokes on the scrypt-jane stuff.
