The current pricing of 50 BTC fits well with the pricing of the previous blades and the USB miners coming out. I don't see a reason to change it. If anything, the total volumes of blades offered in this auction should be limited to meet bitfountains strategic internal demands.

That said, what we have here is a starving market with an exploding buying pressure - or resellers wanting to take a gamble. It makes sense to take advantage of the current situation meet the demand at this price point. 50 BTC is already a significant price point with a long-term projected ROI.
