Hi All

I've got a samsung s3 that is damaged due to water damage. It was 3 months old when I had it.. then had an incident with water... :p
The screen worked but used to flash purple and go all fuzzy basically making it useless..

I sent it in to the repair centre but they came back saying it was screwed due to water damage and a) not under warranty due to water damage and b) its not cost effective to fix so they did not even advise what / how much is required to repair.

After the service centre sent it back it didn't even turn on anymore.....

Just wondering if the s3 in its current state is worth anything to anyone.. and if so.. how much ??

Its located in Australia btw..

I was able to sell my broken S2 for $200 on ebay.  So long as the screen and case look good people will buy it.  Repair stores charge a fortune for glass replacements.

I don't think it'll be worth much in UK either seeing how it's water damaged (this voids the warranty and can damage multiple components on the phone).Have you tried out one of those tricks people sometimes use to get water out of a phone (tub of dry rice, put the phone in for 72 hours I think and try again after that)?
