I know alot of people either love or hate the guy and I used to listen to him, but don't anymore (I actually have a different view of the future since finding bitcoin).

He does have millions of listeners and if he just started taking donations in bitcoin I think it would help the cause and get the word out.  Most of his listeners are libertarian types for the most part.

I just suggest calling and emailing to see if he takes donations.

He's talking about nothing but currency today, so far. I keep trying to call in and talk to him about Bitcoins but I can never get through. I'll keep trying.

Yes he probably will think that, but he also knows that Federal Reserve Notes are created by Them and has no problem taking those. Smiley

With the way he rants, I'm surprised that he can justify leaving his bunker.

Remember people, Alex Jones is like the Cartman(south park anyone?) of conspiracy theorists; He probably is, the greatest disinfo agent of all time; but anyone who looks at him long enough knows he works for Vatican.

All things variously described as 'alternative' are, in time, subsumed and intellectually bankrupted by the internet's inane and all pervasive conspiracism, Alex Jones is not the right place for Bitcoin, unless the goal is to undermine legitimacy.

^^ Yeah, let Bitcoin come to him naturally. Otherwise he might try to demonize it.

We need him saying "But everyone still takes Bitcoins!!!" Just like you still take Dollars.

Not "Bitcoin is a scam created by the New World Order! These people are SUN WORSHIPERS!!!"

If Alex Jones is Cartman.

Peter Joseph is Stan,

and Jesus is kenny...  Grin

lulz: am I getting it right? At any rate sometimes you need to stop watching south park.

I would have suggested this weeks ago (when I discovered Bitcoin) but then I remember that Alex Jones isn't about solutions, he just wants to complain.  He has no program, no way of fixing the world's problems and views all governments of the world as one giant entity rather than a bunch of competing interests.  That being said I still have a lot of respect for the guy and he really is informed on what he's talking about, just the delivery and the few suppositions that he builds his ideology on drive 90% of people away from him - whether that is his problem or the people's is for you to decide.

I believe it would undermine Bitcoin, at least at this juncture.

Alex Jones is a hard-working very decent guy, who irresistably works on exposing the new world order/bilderberger. He does have a solution: get out and do something, talk to friends, neighbours, call your representatives etc. However, I find that he is too much of an optimist, the other day Max Keiser was on the show and they were discussing Greece; Jones appeared to have some hope in the protestors, whereas Max said that often turbulence on the market is created by hedge funds, banks, etc.

Quote
Ideally you would get Max Keiser to explain bitcoins to Alex, as Max is recurring a guest on his show and Alex would listen/respect his opinion. Max has a background in computer programming, finance, markets, is a silver/gold activist, and he has a good understanding of the technology behind bitcoins, he even frequently blogs about it. I'm sure Max could even find a way to explain bitcoins that even Alex could understand.

This is actually a good idea, Max (I don't know his position on bicoins, but if as Blazing says, he is favourable towards bitcoins) would keep the show on-topic without derailing and it would reach a wide audience. Jones doesn't rant on about reptelians overtaking the world, mind; many of his viewers would find bitcoins interesting, or so I reckon. If anyone has a channel to Max it would be a very good idea indeed.

As to accepting Bitcoins, not much of a chance there, I believe. Bitcoin's current legal status would most likely dissuade Jones from accepting bitcoins - he would be an easy target if bitcoins become outright illegal. The authorities would like nothing more than to get him off air.
