This article says Mcafee was saying bch would be half a million each in 2 years, and that btc would be around $2400. If true, I nominate Mcafee for the biggest nutball in history (no, not just crypto history)

http://www.attractionlistbuilding.com/bitcoin/john-mcafee-bets-10-million-that-bitcoin-value-500000-in-3-years/

And that time he made that call, Bcash wasn't even around! Furthermore he said "Bitcoin will be worth so and so much". But Bcash is not Bitcoin. Even Jihan admitted that!! Therefore you can not say he was talking about Bcash being worth so much. Even if this was his intention, that guy is a joke, crazy as hell and he will lose his bet! No idea how any person can take that guy serious! He should stop sniffing his bath salts and all the other stuff he is consuming.

So it was the respondent who was trying to twist what really happened and he is now trying to use John McAfee's words about Bitcoin going to $500,000 and he is now trying to make everyone think McAfee really BitcoinCash.

But if McAfee really meant BitcoinCash then he will surely eat his penis in 5 years.
At that time when McAfee said these words we didn't even have Bitcoin Cash fork yet, we expected that we could have Jihan Coin.
Although his words are not 100% certain but I bet he clearly meant old Bitcoin and not Bitcoin Cash price spike will reach $500k.
Either way, I think this is crazy prophecy and I expect that combined prices of BTC and BCH won't even come close to half a million USD.

John McAfee is another one of these idiots that got rich during the dotcom bubble, and since they are so rich and bored, they spend their day on twitter talking about any trending subject, in this case Bitcoin.

John McAffee is a joke when it comes to BTC. Let him talk, he knows nothing.

This is the quote that OP is talking about:

Quote
He didn’t specify if he will mine either BTC-ABC (8mb blocks) or Btc1 (2mb/SW) or (1mb/sw) but rather chose to follow only Jihan's fork simply because “I'm not an idiot.” While he maintains that only Jihan's fork will have value, he notes that there will be a huge damage to the main Bitcoin and its price “may go back to $40.”

Within the given projected period, McAfee puts the Ethereum price at somewhere between a penny and $200,000.
