Just wondering how people are adding to their mining operations.  The GPU shortage has lasted a while.  Other than the obvious choices, are there any innovated options that people are willing to share?

Obviously ppl are NOT buying cards. Just a desperate few have gone through the 2nd hand market to find inflated prices that yield a bigger ROI. You'll have to wait, I'm afraid.

I'm not buying cards right now but when i was i would buy them form any place that gave me the best Deal .... with rebates or not ....I was saving for a 1080 TI but changed my mind and used the cash for supply's and to learn how to make my own open Air frames by buying Mats needed to make them and that will save me later, knowing just what i need as i need it.

if your gonna pay 500 bucks for a RX 570 id just save 100 to 200 $ more and buy a 1080 TI and get more for the money, no AMD RX 400 or 500 series card is worth more then what they sold for before the shortage .

including the miner only cards which if I was informed right cost no were near what the greedy sellers are selling them for and what shortage of chips, if they can make the miner only cards and sell them, i don't see how there is a shortage of chips....or should even be any kind of GPU shortage..

I do agree the whole mining dedicated GPU sounds weird, even if it's real. If there's a supply shortage, how come they have the needed hardware to produce these cards? I saw a few vendors listing them over here (no availability though) and they're trying to sell them for almost 300$. I don't get the point of paying 300$ for something that doesn't even have a video output (except for Sapphire or evga, can't remember, that had a single DVI port). Not mentioning the limited warranty which is a joke for the price. These cards should cost at least 30% less than their gaming counterparts.

It's like they're trying to get miners of the back of the gamers by proposing these dedicated GPUs while taking us for money filled fools who'd pay anything to mine. They don't seem to understand that the price of the equipment plays a large role in all of this. Given the choice, I'd still go with a regular gaming card  Huh

i buy on amazon or i pay bitcoin to buy my gpu, caseking is good for that, i also like to buy used gpu on the market on bitcointalk, you have great offers here, plenty of cheap coins, when someone is leaving the mining scene

I guess a lot of people are mining mostly as a hobby or to try and pull in a little supplemental income, but for building out a large scale mining operation, you can't just buy a GPU here and there.  We're looking to invest into a dedicated data center for mining, not the same size as Genesis, but closer to that than a few open air cases in various rooms around the house.

Does anyone have experience creating a business relationship with techdata, CDW, ingram micro, or a similar sized wholesaler?  If you already have such a relationship with them, are you able to purchase GPUs from them?

For someone like Genesis, do you think they just buy from AMD or Nvidia direct?
