Even when you visit the supermarkets and find them offering free goods if you purchase in bulks, by calculating properly/by checking out the exact price you will find that the price is already included in the discount price.

you can't get it for free ,you can get it by converting altcoins to ETH , or altcoins you get from airdrops if they can be sold .Converting from bitcoin won't be a good option keeping in mind its price compare to it.Anyways to earn bitcoin you can look for bounties in altcoin section.

Do not run after anything free because always keep in mind that their is no free lunch home in the world. Instead spend the time to understand the coin, read about the crypto for new beginners. Study which new ICO is coming and which are good to invest etc and you can become a successful investors

Why don't you join some bounty campaign or airdrop campaign of upcoming ICOs. That to I will suggest you to choose the project Wisely else your precious time will be lost.

most ways to get free ether already mentioned in this thread, another way getting free ether is trading, invest some money in ether and you can earn more ether by simply trading ether on various exchanges. Also you can try airdrops or bounties to earn some altcoins and then convert them to ether.

If someone donates it is free.  But it depends upon the donor whom he wants to donate.  He may be wishing to donate to some person engaged in social activities like educating or medically helping the poor or for some other purposes. 
Otherwise we will have to pay something for it if we want to use it for ourselves.  Like ; working in bounty campaigns and earning something; and afterwards buying eth with the coins earned.  Definitely these will not be free; these will be in exchange to our labor done for bounty.

There is nothing for free in this World! You must do something to get anything as a reward or earn. As your name suggested you are a blogger. You may consider your social connections to earn ETH for free! Note, it is basically not free you have to do some work in return to get ETH. Here is detail:
