"Japan: No Bitcoin Tax, Thousands of Stores to Accept the Cryptocurrency"

article published July, 5, 2017
https://edgylabs.com/2017/07/05/japan-no-bitcoin-tax-stores-accept-cryptocurrency/

"AirRegi is a widely used, tablet-based point-of-sale app in Japan. Currently, around 260,000 establishments, stores, and commercial facilities use this proprietary app to accept payments from their clients."

It makes sense that a transition to accept bitcoin would be underway for more US-based stores.

More and more will be adopting Bitcoin by the coming years. Recently Japan and Australia are now adopting digital currecy in their market. Also, Russia will focus on mining btc but only regulated.

retailers will receive bitcoin when they understand the benefits of having bitcoin and accept what payments they use bitcoin, because for now few retailers know and accept payments using bitcoins.

The problem with accepting Bitcoin as payment is in the time it takes between receiving Bitcoin and converting it to £ Sterling (still a minimum of 1 to 2 hours for us) is the Bitcoin price can fluctuate wildly.

Now I keep seeing posts that argue that just holding on is fine as the Bitcoin price just goes up. This is a completely flawed argument in so many ways. For a start most business need to pay suppliers within a set time period and the said suppliers generally want to be paid in cash not BTC.

I am however seeing people accept BTC for services or electronic deliverables far more than physical objects. I think we are one of the few that accept Bitcoin for luxury items but we are doing it more to provide a service to allow people to cash out of BTC into fiat.

I know that people will be a little reluctant to sell BTC at the moment as the market has not yet seen a large crash/correction. Lets face it, most people will naturally want to hold onto something that just seems to only go up!

The people who are buying fine wine with BTC are people with very large amounts amounts who obtained it when it was well under $1,000 a coin.

In Japan, you do not get trouble to find the retailer accpet Bitcoin, therefore, it means the retailer accept Bitcoin still depend on the policies of the government. As long as the government accept Bitcoin is legally and can use for payment, I think there are many retailers always be ready to accept Bitcoin.

We know and much familiar that Bitcoin is really open for Japanese people. Japan has embraced bitcoin so well since we also know that Japan is not afraid of great changes to happen. They are usually the innovators of different generations since then. Having that great character like the Japanese, I hope many nations and countries to also accept bitcoin even to retailers and even to different transactions that it would be like how we use our fiat money.

That is true they made first move and seem like they made it in right time. Like you im also hopping to see many countries will follow them but for now this process seem little slow. Some already announced some changes like they will reduce ax or removed it completely but this is still small step, Japan made huge one.

Perhaps in 2020 90% of US stores will receive Bitcoin as payment. Currently there are many shops that accept Bitcoin payments, it's just not evenly distributed in some developed countries, for example in Asian countries only a few stores that accept Bitcoin payments for the transaction. Since there are still many obstacles to using Bitcoin, the first obstacle is the store owner's confidence in Bitcoin, the second constraint is the fear of Bitcoin in the future. The third obstacle is to see the current Bitcoin exchange rate is very high.

I did not surprise when the Japanese government accept Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto is the Japanese name. It seems Satoshi can be the Japanese person, but there is no proof for my idea. Until today, after the Japanese government accepted Bitcoin, we do not see any problem in the Japan's economy, they managed it very well.

I also think as most of people saying  with this transaction delays and high fees hardly BTC can be accepted by retailers but I think in near future retailers will accept LTC and DASH. and BTC will be as a backing cryptos with value

Perhaps by 2020 Bitcoin can be upgraded so we could see transactions costs lower, what is the biggest issue at this time many people complain about. The issue fully depend technology being improved, if it happens we can see fees costs decrease, more accessible to everyone. I think the other obstacles aren't so hard. Confidence for an example: The store can convert BTC to fiat instantly if they want and fear the future of the currency.

I think more retailers will accept bitcoin if its value will be more stabilized. Especially now that the value is deflating every day. So maybe more retailers are still waiting on what will happen after the hard fork. Retailers are businessmen who are not ready to risk when it comes to transacting with bitcoins. They will need more time to be convinced to accept btc. It's good to invest in bitcoin if you are investing for long term but retailers need cash to run their business.
The number one thing peoole uses bitcoin is because of its decentralized system. It means that no management or particular institution that manage bit pin or regulates it. I think having a stable value is just the same or having a particular company that hold Bitcoin and I think it may lessen people support rather than to increased it in the future. I think people needs more changes in terms of bitcoin value for it to give people a more opportunities to earn and to have profit in the future.

Its just a matter of time when these businesses will accept Bitcoin as a payment method. Generally, the more BTC make the news and became a trend, it will create a positive feedback loop that pushes towards what is aiming for. If this continues, more and more businessmen will take a look at BTC and overlook other payment methods such as PayPal and Credit / Debit cards. Thus, eliminating the use of the two latter method mentioned. After all, this is one of the main concept of Bitcoin, a mode of payment that has a fast transaction, cheap fees and without the risk of chargebacks. I'm just glad that through these years, it finally pays off.

Bitcoin usage is on the rise in Asia. There are some online and offline merchants here in my country that accept the cryptocurrency as payment. But its very limited who accept this payment. I hope someday it will improve. For now its helping us to save bitcoin more than spending it.

with many countries starting to accept Bitcoins, they will start enforcing its use if they their benefit in this regard. For example, if a country decides heavily in Bitcoins and invest large amounts in it, then they will force the local market and retailers to transact through Bitcoins. They may offer discounts to retailers by persuading them to use Bitcoins. In this way, Bitcoin can spread like an air.

The key drivers for mass adoption of Bitcoin amongst commercial subjects are two - lower volatility of Bitcoin and friendlier legal and compliance standards. We are still far from such an adoption, I would say that Bitcoin nowadays is rather asset to speculate on than currency to pay with

- The government will not accept bitcoin as a payment method, although I find that some countries are beginning to accept bitcoin to pay for electricity and water costs but that is just testing, not applicable to the whole world, many countries have banned the use Bitcoin as a payment method. Bitcoin is still having a great impact on the economy, and the government is still pondering its use, retailers are also very difficult to accept Bitcoin when the government does not allow, and the price of bitcoin is also constantly changing, the time to confirm the transaction is too long, that is very inconvenient, many retailers do not want to use it
