And here I go installing Elementary OS to try out dstm miner.

Well I skipped that part and installed it on Windows.

Rig 1:
7x ASUS STRIX 1080 Ti:
EWBF: 690 Sol/s in Average
dstm: 720-740 Sol/s in Average

Rig 2:
7x ASUS STRIX 1080 Ti:
EWBF: 687 Sol/s in Average
dstm: 705-720 Sol/s

DSTM wins

That's a nice improvement for sure ... I'm off to give this a try (Win10) ... over my 14 rigs this could make quite a difference  Wink

Also the lower Sol/s on Rig2 is because it uses 1x1600W EVGA G2   compared to Rig1 that uses 2x1200W EVGA Platinum P2; I fool myself that Rig1 has a better Power input than Rig2, I could be wrong.
Also the settings is  Core +200 Memory +200 with Powerlimit at 80%. Each GFX uses around 195-200W. The temperature for each card moves from 39->47 degree Celsius. I will re-read the thread and try to fix the Api like I had on EWBF.

Thanks dtsm for a wonderful miner!

Sounds like a hardware issue to me, especially because some GPUs don't work even after rebooting. In general: sn overclocked system might behave unpredictable.

Thing is, I then ran ewbf with the same settings and it is going on for 13 hours stable. It has slightly lower hash rate (4%) but far greater stability. I'm going to bring overclocking settings down further and run zm again, but those 4% gains are beginning to get reduced as a result.

Would love to see some overclock settings from other users who have the ASUS DUAL OC GTX 1070.

Setting zm up now on a rig with 6x Gigabyte WindForce GTX 1070s - will show direct comparisons with ewbf. If it's anything like the other tests, I'm expecting 4% gains  Smiley

Once that's up and running, I'll be tweaking the 7x ASUS 1070 overclock settings to try find a sweet spot where zm is stable. I do think zm on the whole has better power efficiency.

Thanks for your work and constant activity in this thread, dstm!

Hey there , trying to run it on latest win 10 update and whatever , I get this error :  Missing vcruntime140.dll , cannot run program.   I looked in microsoft forums , but I cannot download any Microsoft visual studio updates or whatever because I need to pay for some subscription or something like this. What Should fix this problem ? Thanks in advance

edit:   fixed this , but now Iam getting :

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b) Press OK to close the application. Anyone ? thanks

edit 2:   fixed everything , yep correct way is to search for   MVS 2015 redistributable and install it from official site

You don't have to pay anything, the download is free on microsoft's website.

I had no other reports about stability issues.
I'm not doing overclocking test myself. Overclocking behaviour is pretty hard to predict, I'll do some tests later however this is of low priority, I'm focusing on CPU usage, pool compatibility and network stability currently.

How did you install the missing vcruntime140.dll?

The correct way is to download and isnstall 'Visual C++ Redistributable for visual studio 2015' .

Cool - I'll keep playing around. Maybe my mindset is wrong as it's currently "hey it worked in ewbf with these overclock settings so it should work in zm with these overclock settings". Again, will report once the 6x Windforce GTX 1070s have been running a few hours.

EDIT: So far so good, with around 490 sol/sec on each of these cards. Getting 30-40Sol/sec more per GPU than I did on ewbf at the same settings. Sol/W also increased by about 5-10%.

Hello Dev. Nice work, thanks. Can you add too the webinterface with stats which address (pool) is being used? I use a script that cycles through different pools in case one goes down.

I installed Visual C++ Redistributable for visual studio 2017 instead of "2015"

it works fine but is it better to install the 2015 version?

Thanks

Well, here's my latest:

Running fine on 6x Gigabyte Windforce GTX 1070s, great hash rate and lower power draw than ewbf.
Great results on my desktop, which has 1x MSI Duke GTX 1070, maintaining 500 Sol/s without a hitch.

And then there's my rig of 7x Asus DUAL OC GTX 1070s which just doesn't seem to like this miner, strangely enough. I can run ewbf for days on end (I recently had it mining Zcash for over a week without any issue) but zm is completely unstable. Other than the graphics cards, it has identical hardware and software to the other rig with the Gigabyte cards, so I'm quite stumped. Sometimes it runs a few minutes and crashes, other times an hour or so - I did have one six-hour mining session where zm ran just fine before crashing. Today it's been really unstable, and I can't seem to get even 30 minutes. I've dialled overclocking way down, but still no luck, so I'm back to ewbf on that rig for now.

Maybe it is my NVIDIA drivers... which version GeForce drivers have you guys been getting stable results with this miner?
