Seems like the dishonest entity is bitrebel and not mtGox after all. I anticipate the chances for bitrebel to stand by his promises and honour the bets to be exactly 0%. Well done, bitrebel!

Great read.  Though not Bitcoin, appropriate post.

Also, do a google search for 'http://www.webspawner.com/users/extrosgpotvin/' brings up this link http://www.ringolab.com/note/daiya/archives/urls.txt which should be funny for all you Tor / Silk Road / Deep Web users, that is how we used to keep our bookmarks back in the day, and it seems that type of link sharing has made a comeback thanks to search engines being too good at what they do lol

Go to http://www.webspawner.com/users/extrosgpotvin/ and you'll see an ad for ButterflyLabs. ONLY an ad, for the wall of text is gone. Vanished. Ceased to... or “He's not pining, he's passed on. This parrot is no more. He has ceased to be. He's expired and gone to meet his maker. He's a stiff, bereft of life, he rests in peace. If you hadn't have nailed him to the perch he'd be pushing up the daisies. He's rung down the curtain and joined the choir invisible. This is an ex-parrot!”

Wow that story is fascinating.  Can't believe I never heard of SG before.

Thanks for sharing

I did not spend a penny, but used to read some of the posts in their forum.
They used to talk about looking out the window hoping the FedX truck would arrive with their $25,000 check from a (slightly) overdue payment.   Cheesy

I remember the funniest time online back then, was when they shut the site down, people were trying to figure out who was behind it, the rumors started circulating, and then someone posts a pic in the forum claiming they have a pic of the stockgeneration office in Slovania or somewhere.

They show a pic of a run down office in the ghetto with a sign hanging in the window that was photoshopped in. Then came crockgeneration.com the parody.

I guess it was funny to me because I had emotions tied up in it, wondering all kinds of things, after having invested about $150

Maybe you might be able to get your $150 back via a Jalapeno (originally a $149 value).

Freedom Capital Formation. As I write this, there's a huge boom in technology stocks, particularly Internet stocks. Great value is being created and added to the economy. This value is reflected in the total market valuation of technology stocks. It also represents capital formation. Unfortunately, all this capital is measured in terms of the enemy's currency. The companies involved are corporations in the enemy camp. They pay corporation taxes to the enemy, file reports with the enemy, collect individual taxes on behalf of the enemy, etc.

The Economic Means to Freedom requires that capital formation also take place in the real free-enterprise sector (underground economy). Anthon L. Hargis & Co. operates a "fledgling" free market share exchange. This and/or similar exchanges (as well as private banking outside the enemy system) need to expand dramatically. Maybe Laissez Faire City can play a role here. At least some of the balances in e-gold accounts can be regarded as freedom capital.

In general, economic resources and activities shifted from the public and private sectors into the real free-enterprise sector constitute freedom capital formation. Additionally, capital can be created in the real free-enterprise sector itself through the formation and expansion of real free-enterprise ventures. There are also offshore ventures such as Stockgeneration that greatly facilitate freedom capital formation.

Would you like to see 100's of other sites on WebSpawner (owned by Sonny Vleisides) that are now currently running ads for ButterflyLabs? Search yourself, using the keywords Kansas, Lottery, Costa Rica, et al.
