Hey everyone, I'm really sorry I took so long! I was sick~

Glad you're back!

I had some balance left on Bittrex, so I didn't deposit everything there. It confirmed in 1 minute, fee on me (and lite ). The second confirmation took much longer. Time to buy altcoins!

Small bump in the road: My browser's autofill turned the 0.01 for Waves into 0.01086598. That means I got 0.7434546 Waves too much, I sold them again.
Some orders were filled at different rates, I tried to make up for that in the last buy, but overlooked the 952 satoshi from XMR that I didn't use. I can't buy for that low amount, so I'll neglect the difference. Later addition: I now remember I had some Eth-dust left on Bittrex, that makes up for the 952 sat.
Bittrex takes 0.25% fee on all trades.

I'm now afraid to look at my Bittrex, only XRP and ARDR are up, the other 8 are down. My pick (GBYTE) is down the most.
But that's just 6 days, I've learned a long time ago I can't time the market, and that's why there's 10 months to go.

I'll (try to) withdraw (which takes fees) my pick (GBYTE) to join the 20% airdrop, and deposit it back to Bittrex after the last airdrop and/or before the 10 months are over. If any other picked altcoin does a similar airdrop, please notify me.

The next airdrop for Byteball happens on November 4. Current balance: 0.20228330 GBYTE.
I'll only receive the airdrop on Bytes I hold my own wallet, so I've withdrawn them. Bittrex charged 0.002 GBYTE fee to withdraw. New balance: 0.20028330 GBYTE.

It's unsure for how long the airdrop continues, I expect several more months, so I keep the Bytes in my own wallet. Airdrops cause inflation, so it's not just a freebie.

Airdrops also give free Blackbytes. They're (currently) not worth much, but I'll keep'm and try to sell them for GBYTE just before I sell all altcoins.

Addition (November 3, 2017): The GBYTE airdrop is reduced to 10% instead of 20%. I forgot to update this.

This is the first time i checked how my picked coin, Ardor was doing and I noticed that it had been in a gradual slump for 3 weeks now (how unfortunate) but the converted price to USD still stays almost the same. Everyone else's coins were performing well but mine? Oh nevermind lol.

Anyways 2 days before the update. I hope something comes good out of all the investments. Just surprised to see that my coin was in a slump yet retains almost the same value when I deposited it into this experiment.

Never even bothered to check the prices thoroughly, just skimmed a bit and thought that woah, mine looks like it's raped   Yeah, dollar wise I still have my money back. Also, that's still 9 months to go. No one knows what could these markets offer along the way.

Two things came up in the past month:

Disclaimer
Although unlikely, several things can fail. Off the top of my head:
Bittrex can delist a certain altcoin if it's no longer worth anything.
I keep the altcoins on Bittrex. Bittrex can disappear. I don't expect it, but it has happened with other exchanges in the past. If this happens, your money is gone, just like my money. That's why I limit this thread to 0.01 BTC per person, consider it play money.

Bittrex has lowered thousands of withdrawal limits to 0BTC, including my account. Many people on Bitcointalk complain about this. I still have 8 months to see how this develops, and still have high hopes of regaining full access, but Bittrex' behaviour is worrying.

0.01 BTC of an altcoin can drop lower than 0.0005 BTC value, which is too low to sell it on Bittrex.

The minimum trade amount has been dubbled to 0.001BTC per trade.

Luck? I don't think there's much logic behind cryptocurrency prices.
Both coins already lost their profit. Alts are getting slaughtered with Bitcoin up more than 30% in just one day, and many alts going down 30%.

We sure are getting destroyed against bitcoin here, but I'm not really disappointed - we're all a little more diversified, and I keep an eye on altcoins because of it! Plus we're still making returns relative to USD here.
