alright why would you need to mix anyway?
You would need to use mixer if you don't like to compromise your identity specially when you already have send documents on your exchange wallet. Knowing that darknet places is too dangerous and you do really need to hid or stay anonymous as much as you can that's why mixers do really exist and would be the main use on this one. Ive known only about Bitmixer. Its all you need without any hassle on thinking on other things.

always use mixer, because the mixer has multi input and multi outputs, while if you are planning to do mixxing yourself and create new address and use it as a just middleman, then it can still be traceable even though you move funds betn, your 20+ addresses.,

mixers are cheap, use it.

But mixers is 3rd party and they have mix logs, so they can share it with everyone who will ask. In my opinion it's better to use own "mixer" and have less anonimity than share information with 3rd party.

you can always contact the mixer site/company and ask them about how do they handle the transactions, i mean do they keep logs and share with government and ask them, will they share your private information on producing court order ?

if all is good, then you can go ahead.

but if the transaction is big enough, then i would start a mixing site just for front, and do mixing myself.

A mixing site may not be the most honest of companies on how they collect and share information. (We privately mix your coins but keep logs). Most of them keep logs anyway to ensure you don't mix your coin from a previous input of your previous mixing.

You have a point but it depends on the mixer you are using. The log policies vary accordingly, bitmixer.io has a strict no-logs policy.Taken from the Faq:
Quote
What logs are kept?
Absolutely no logs or personally identifying information are kept regarding your use of the Bitmixer service. All logs are permanently removed from both our website database and from our Bitcoin wallet after your coins have been transferred out of our reserve. All forwarding entries are removed after 24 hours.

How can you check it? Why do you believe to them? I think only because you're wear their signature and paid by it.
I can say that I'm Donald Trump or God Emperor of Humanity. Would you believe to me?

Self mixing would always leave the trails behind regardless of your rotations.

If you're have necessary skills, time and money you can write your own mixer with multi inputs and outputs.

Interesting. Please, ask me if I'm Donald Trump or not. Go ahead.

Using a 3rd party mixer is really the best method if you need privacy. You need to mix with other people's coins for them to truly be mixed. There really isn't any effective way to mix the coins yourself that isn't traceable.

You can mix your coin by yourself enough to exchangers will accept it. Then you send it to exchangers, buy altcoins (you must note that exchangers keeps trading logs) and after there many ways to do with it. For example: use altcoins like DASH, Monero or NXT and mix them in their network. After that send it again to exchanger(from different addresses), sell and mix resulting btc (btc must have different inputs) again.
