I'd much rather see one forum for each coin, as the first post was teasing. That might encourage more sensible consideration of each coin and less noise about others.

Each coin has it's own board, and I think that having them all in one forum helps give newer coins a chance, because of diffusion between different coin supporters. A lot of new coins don't have the clout to carry an entirely new forum, but with many coins, a fan of one coin can contribute to another coin's board without having to log in to another forum.

Also, I made sure there were NO restrictions on new members. I always hated that about this forum.

Would "Off Exchange Transactions" be an appropriate place for [WTS], [WTB], [WTT] and [AUCTION] posts...?

I'm assuming yes, but just want to be certain

duul:

now you need to go and PM all the senior members -that are doing someting meaningful Taco , Balthazar heaps of others if you can get one or two of them to move the general idea they have to your board it will be a success.

as soon as some traffic moves there , then all the spam will follow , but at least you can organize it . (something the BTC overloards have decided is not what this forum needs)

when you contact them your argument to them is:

you}  -

"it is in your benifit to have a forum for just development where the most people can see your ideas and thus take on your new parameters for disscussion without the subject needing to be bumped every 5 seconds."

They say}    -

" Well,  look we don't need your forum for that we have our own forums for our own coin."

you}    -

"yes but your design is not released yet, so how do people keep track of all these new ideas without having to log into 15 forum boards, i beleive an individual forum for a currency is something that is great after the currency is released and is established,  you shoud pick up lots of traffic, but in the mean time the whole community needs  a place for ideas, and that's not a bitcointalk.org"

They say }  -

"wow! you have completely convinced me , also where can i send you money , also my girlfrend wants to now go on a Date with you ........actally,  i dont have a girfriend , but if i did , i'd definitly put in a good word for you., THAT's how much i like your idea. "

you}   -

"hey great ! thats ok tell your non existing gf i'm gay ! , also get your ideas  over there asap , so we can all get this forum and ideas working !!"

I'm not seeing how it's any more active. As far as I can see most of the posts are by one user, with the Agent Smith avatar.

Yes, both boards look to have an equal chance.

See litecoin discussions for example on the cryptocointalk is 0 replies to all topics.. http://cryptocointalk.com/forum/16-litecoin-discussions/

That said, I prefer the way they have the subforums laid out as a list, though that could be refined, having a list of major and minor might work better. Major being the olde school BTC; LTC; PPC; NMC; DVC.
Minor could be the type of list that altcoinforum has atm. Too many copycoins, I say!

Also, if anyone has any ideas for the forum, just let me know.

The register page -

1. Captcha is almost unreadable and gave me nphkek 3 times in a row when I requested new image.  It also removes the password when the captcha is wrong which is annoying.

2. Sort the forums alphabetically

Thanks for your efforts I joined and will post.
