Remember when it was rumored the creator of ETH had died? What did ethers price do, if I may ask? People drive the market, and rumors move the masses. Don't be naive and tell me the rumors and FUD don't have a massive impact on trading volumes, especially now when there might be a possible hardfork of bitcoin coming

Although rumors can momentarily move the market in the short term it is largely useless to factor into long term investments. Decide which coins have the best features and those that solve an important problem. (do research basically) It really is no different than the stock market in that regard. Traders that think in the long term tend to demolish those that only think in the short term. In addition, it will be taxed as long term capital gains rather than short term if you hold something longer than a year. I know most don't pay taxes on your crypto gains but trust me that this will come back to bite you since the tax man always catches up to you. Don't worry about all the rumors and general angst around the August 1st deadline. Cryptocurrency, as an innovation, is here to stay for the long haul.

I dont know the rumors you are speaking of, or are am I aware of any fud. Im actually having a deal getting a feel for market sentiment right now, in fact. But unless it goes up a little bit more, this is still a deadcat imo, and its going back down a little more. Thats purely conjecture, and disclosure, i will be buying eth if it moves below the recent low.

I think it could go near 100$.
Because people are taking their money from cryptocurrency before august 1.
And there are some ICO issue.
Few ICO was hacked.
It will also affect the ethereum price.

What's the relationship between the possible split of the bitcoin with the ethereum? Ethereum already did it for well. THe price bounce back again I believe we will see the more adoption on the ethereum that gives the more increase on the ethereum's price. I don't believe it will be dumped below or around $100

What's the relationship between the possible split of the bitcoin with the ethereum? Ethereum already did it for well. THe price bounce back again I believe we will see the more adoption on the ethereum that gives the more increase on the ethereum's price. I don't believe it will be dumped below or around $100

Maybe the OP is speculating with ETH relationship with bitcoin in particular. We all know that if bitcoin price goes down, a lot of altcoins price also dip. We are expecting the bitcoin price will fall come Aug 1. But for me, ETH will not be affected by the looming hard fork on bitcoin network and will not fall below $100. Right now, the price of ETH $200 and I think it will still increase after more because people will shift to ETH prior to Aug 1.

Indeed ETH is the best coin that has potential to continue to grow in order to compete with some other coins, and now also ETH continue to raise prices and is expected to continue to increase and indeed it seems ETH will not be affected by the  phenomenon 1 August

As far as I can remember, when news that Vitalik has died, the price of ETH nose dive. Also, Even Vitalik admits that there are fake Vitalik that are scamming around and this negative news make the price of ETH fall again. That's why its funny what people creating this fake news about ETH and only reason I'm been thinking is that because the expected 'flippening' didn't happened and they want to hype ETH again. But sadly, it wasn't able to drove the market but keep falling after reaching ATH a few months ago.
