Hello, sorry for the question, it may sound pretty naive but I am pretty concerned over the massive hacking attacks on Bittrex site lately. So I was wondering If anyone could help me on improving the security aspect regarding my bittrex account. Mind you, I NEVER use my smartphone to log into my bittrex account. I ONLY use my pc to do so. So Is there anything i could do to protect my account there?. Ive heard the 2FA works only for smartphone users...so what about pc users who wanna feel pretty safe with their accounts?. Thank you, and sorry again for the naive question.

Two factor authentication is useless is you have the 2FA private token on the same computer. If your computer gets hacked, 2FA won't save you.

With that said, yes, there are tools like what you're asking. The one I know is called WinAuth. I used it with Battle.net accounts years ago and then it was buggy so always save the private tokens elsewhere.

Seriously, get a cheap smartphone that can run Google Authenticator or an alternative app to be sure.

Not your keys, not your coins!

There are many ways you can update your account security but the best among the options is to be changing your account password periodically like every week, 2 weeks or monthly.

Here is the link to the desktop 2 factor authentication software https://saaspass.com/technologies/computer-login-two-factor-authentication-mac-windows-pc.html
