This just appeared on their website: https://shop.bitmain.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020170718203947438V537cuy7067F

1. Specifications of the Antminer D3 are as follows:
   a) Hash rate: 15 GH/s (Variation of ±5% is...

Is there any newbie guide on setting this up (D3 is coming in late September) on how to join pools, what to mine, etc? Really appreciate this.

An earlier post showed a litecoin miner being set up. It should be the same.

Agreed - Bitmain has kept the setup nearly the same for every model they've released. There is no reason to believe the D3 will be any different.

btw, dash diff increased from 1.7M to 2.3M in just one day...

https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/dash-difficulty.html#3m

by November, I'll be extremely surprised if it isnt in the 5-6 mil range.

it'll be +18 mil with the d3s.

It seems each chart shows something different. I just check coinwarz's it is at 750k, Bitinfocharts shows it at 805k...

So far Dash value is not going up with Dash diff.  There was a bit of a spike earlier this week but the two are not moving in sync.

It will spread out somewhat with the other x11 algos. Helium coming online about that time is a good thing too, another x11 coin that already has media attention. It will get rough for a while though, Bitmain will keep making D3 until demand drops, demand won't drop until profitability falls off. The price will adjust to make mining profitable again but there will be a tough time. Markets left alone move like a slinky, only those who are patient during the bad times reach the good times.

Well said. Helium looks promising too. Might have to point a D3 at that for a while and setup a few masternodes.

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

Guy what do you think? Is it good idea to buy some X11 coins like Influx Coin or Cannabis Coin what are actually on low price before D3 mining? Will price  of these coins increase when mining start?

I actually do this step by step to reset setting, i unbinding my 2fa key and i delete it from my phone to get the new one ... Seems legit so far ...
When i try to bind new 2fa block on loop bitmain tell me "fail" after 10-15 attemps i decide to relaunch page ...
What a surprise Bitmain tell me is ok i changed my password but ... I need to unbind again 2fa, i deleted this one ... So actually i am out of my account sad story, but it will be okay as i do everything ok from september batch i will proly receive email notification about shipment etc ... At least i assume ...

I just read up on it last night, you can get 1:1 airdrop of Helium for owning SPR (Spreadcoin) within the next few days when the devs do a blockchain snapshot. 1000 SPR is about 0.52 BTC, $2200. SPR, however looks dead-ish and Helium looks kinda like an exit for SPR holders. I thought about trying to score some Helium, but if the price of SPR tanks after the snapshot, it might not be worth it as everyone rushes for the exit...

I keep trying to tell people but too many don't listen.

 Hashrate/Diff DOES NOT DICTATE PRICE.

Hashrate/Diff FOLLOWS price as folks see something get more profitable and move to it (when they can).

I disagree, we're about to see a 5x minimum increase in diff, probably more like 10x-20x... price hasn't made nearly that movement so why would so many new miners be jumping on the Dash ship if what you're saying is true?

Hashrate difficulty affects the price. It will be slower with Dash because only 45% of the new supply is mined. Basically, more difficulty, the more miners are dividing the newly minted Dash. Miners, in general, will not sell at a loss, so they will wait for a price correction. This restricts 45% of the newly minted Dash that is normally dumped. Ten percent of the supply is through the treasury, not all is allocated every time. The other 45% is held by the master nodes, many of them will hold to get another MN. Dash mining is currently just over 200 days estimated ROI on most miners, the price is inching up. If the coin because truly unprofitable to mine you'd see a faster correction.

The founder coins101 was a developer for Spreadcoin. The Spreadcoin project is still being managed by georgem. He still responds to tech support questions but I haven't seen an update on the prject. From what I understand, the testnet is still alive with MN and SN. I think Helium has a better vision and let's face it, a better name. But given the way the project is gaining momentum, I'm not risking the opportunity to get 1000 Helium so I already bought my Spreadcoin. I just have to keep my fingers crossed. Depending on the difficulty, I'll have to decide what to mine, Helium or Dash. I have confidence in both Dev teams.

Has anyone bought from Bitmain before? How long is the shipping from China?

Many people have, allegedly most have a decent experience with it.

Personally, it's been a ****ing nightmare for me, 7 weeks ago I placed my order and wired them the money, my order is still marked 'unpaid', 'expired' and 'unshipped'.

I nag their support staff daily, no effect.  They just pop in every two weeks or so and ask me for the same transaction info that I already gave them.  It's absurd.

I would not recommend Bitmain.  Your mileage may vary, good luck.

Before you place your order, look in their support section under 'Why hasn't my payment been confirmed yet?'.  Notice the 8 pages of extremely upset customers from the last two months with essentially the same complaint as myself.

Bitmain is only very slow answering emails and tickets. If you count the ticket ids, they get around 1k new tickets a day.

Everytime i have issues, i just create a ticket and call their support hotline. All problems except crypto payment confirmation got instantly solved by tell them order id and ticket id. 1 point i have to mention is, they only speak mandarin chinese. It sucks for most people since they cant speak chinese, but at least they offer an hotline. Have a stucking payment at coinbase and can only reach them via ticket. :/

Your problem is very likely by missing some USD due to international transfer fees. Some banks even if you check that you cover all fees, some fees are not covered. Bitmain offer to pay the missing USD in BTC.

Dash seeks to do what Bitcoin failed to do, be the main digital transaction system. Dash's focus is getting to a very efficient blockchain that can handle millions of transactions per minute while using very little electricity.

Helium seeks to be a blockchain service that both acts as a currency and a way to manage data flow for companies that want blockchain services. Since it is decentralized, Helium can have as many clients as it has service nodes. So Helium can expand as fast as the market allows.

So Dash is money, buy groceries or PC parts online. Helium is more like Ethereum, serving business needs and B2B needs. Given how hot blockchain tech is now, I think they'll have clients lined up to get node service.
