Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

No, it gives the impression that it will be in days or weeks, but could be monthly , as long as they have let people know their making em, they will corner the market for however long it takes. Dont expect to get it at same  price either. Sad

me ..its Bitmain...I've no clue myself

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

Id prob compare it to the way they sold the l3+, not by the price, but by the way the price fluctuated between ~1300-1700 , its a good strategy cause anyone who missed out on first batch at ~2700 will be fuming and desperate cause they've been made to wait so they'll pay more for second batch, noone expected first batch so they were cheap to build up confidence and awareness, problem is that btc is going up, dash will most likely go up too, so they will offer new batches in these market trends , dash could be 250 by the time they release 2nd batch, therefore they can charge more cause it will make more money, they prob have taken into account the future difficulty and wait time from the first batches price, which is admirable, second batch could even ship during same period as first , but with a premium in price. I think they are waiting to see what the difficulty will be once ibelinks are all online, and that will be what they base their price on. Truth is its very difficult to know what they'll do, cause theres way too many factors. I dont think they'll charge more then 3300 but.

So it's goodbye to all us small scale DASH miners. All these ridiculous hash rate ASICs coming out recently are going to make it pointless.

I have about 450mh/s between a Baikal Mini and a Baikal Cube. I guess I'll be looking for coin alternatives for X11 mining rather than DASH, or maybe I'll just use one of the other algos it does - quark, qubit, X13,X14 or X15.

This also means (if I'm not mistaken) that DASH will become a Chinese coin just like Bitcoin is. I guess it depends on whether all the massive Chinese X11 farms coming in the next 3-6 months will use their first 1000 mined DASH to establish masternodes, or if they just convert mined coins to cash.

Crypto currency enthusiast and miner since 2015. Mined approx 200 ETH during 2016 and 2017 and sold it at approximately $US40 each. Then I watched it reach $1000+ each. If anyone bothers to read this stuff pay attention to this: HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL

I started mining with 1 AMD 7950 and 1 R9-280X. Then I gradually built my AMD operation into 12 R9-290s. Awesome ETH hash but ridiculous power consumption and heat. Over the last year I defected to the Nvidia team. I now use GTX 1070s. They were expensive to buy (probably a bargain now) but awesome hash rate vs. power consumption. blah blah blah blah

I think they will create masternodes, and only then will start to convert to cash

If I remember right the ORIGINAL (was it $1,200 150mh Baikal mini-cube?) ONLY mined X11 and they added the X13 and X15, etc protocols later

I expect ALL the machines, from the 5 manufacturers involved dumping x11 asics this month...WILL, have such a firmware update for the above protocols within 2 months

(It's what I'd do on the bitmain 'evil' board of directors, pretty self-evident this will happen imho soonest)

I bought both of mine - mini & cube in the last 6-8 months, so they weren't that expensive really. In fact I got the mini way before and the cube just before DASH went from like $20 to $200 so they have paid for themselves easily by now.

If Baikal is one of the companies with a multi GH machine pending - I think the cube was just a way of offloading the last die generation of chips to us Guai-lo before they started to manufacture with the new 14nM or whatever size they are down to now.

Its a l3+ case design with some blank stickers, smart move , just reuse old designs.  Maybe there will be smaller batches with the l3+'s soon, more profit in selling d3's then l3+s.

Yepp, couldn't agree more.  I guess it makes sense to have the same/similar design, makes them easier to mass produce and for customers to anticipate requirements/placement.

Of course it lowers the R&D costs dramatically.

Also the design has already been proven.
