T-minus 6.25ish hours to go. Think they will drop price or have a later ship date?  I'm thinking about staying up and grabbing one.  4am my time... yuck.

My fingers are crossed. Would be nice to see a little lower price due to increased difficulty but who knows. Good luck to everyone tying to grab some.. just don't take them all! I'd like at least 2 ha

Same, 4 am is brutal (I'm in Chicago). Lucky enough to have 2 on the Sept 18-25 ship date batch, but think I'm going to buy a couple more for the November ship. I think I would be surprised if they dropped price.

For perspective - Bitmain has sold probably about 20,000 L3 and L3+ units COMBINED - in many batches since they introduced the L3.

There is NO BLOODY WAY they sold 35 THOUSAND D3 units in a single batch, though 35 HUNDRED seems like a reasonable number.

With that said, 7000 (ballpark) D3 units sold, PLUS the influx already happening of DM11G units, plus however many A5's get shipped, is going to HAMMER X11 profitability by the end of October.

For perspective, in mid-July, the TOTAL DASH NETWORK HASHRATE (DASH is easily the majority of all X11 hashrate) was equal to ballpark *400* D3 units - and the DM11G units do NOT appear to have been shipping at that point.....

DASH Difficulty shot up to 1.3 million today. The bastards haven't even shipped yet!

You only live once....if you do it right, once is enough.

I'll look. At $1,600 usd yet, it is doubtful I'll get any at that price. But I'm kinda
Equipment desperate. Need the tax write offs, IF I supposedly can find equip to buy
that makes sense

A D3 unit,imho not so much.

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

Again this all assumes price is the same as today and nothing but diff and hashrate changes. If you guys want to get people not to buy just tell them Bitmain is the devil!

Do you guys think it's still worth it to buy a D3 miner ? with the spike in difficulty this unit might be useless by the time they deliver in November

Debatable. It all depends on what the price for the November batch will be.

They changed the payment rules this time, only payment in btc or ltc within 30 minutes is accepted, no reservations for USD bank transfers.  (If that's what you meant by 'reserve')

few independent people in chengdu and shenzen are confirming that they are clearing there D3 batch 1 week after there previous sale because they will start taking pre-orders of  D3+ soon similar chips as innosilicon

Edit: thats why the batch is crypto only, the 30ghs D3+ batch will be priced at $2199.00 come september (not sure if people in slack speculating or real sources)

Sounds like a lot of speculation to me.  The reason they're not taking bank transfers is they had so many people buy them, then try to sell them on ebay at jacked up prices but never send the payment so the orders expired.  To avoid that, they went pure crypto to force payment immediately.  I doubt they're going to release a new miner that quickly after selling a new product that hasn't even shipped the first batch yet.

Look at the history of L3 and L3+ they released it back to back in 6 months because they were forced to by A4 dominators

they are in similar situation right now... innosilion and ibelink are kicking there butt (not on price point offcourse) and so is baikal

Bitmain needs to play catchup hence they are pushing all the low end units at discounted prices... after they mine the crap out of them in there data centers.
Rotate d3's out and D3+ in to restart the cycle.

Edit: same sources that are talking about D3+ to there credit they leaked L3+ as well as the upcoming D3 (3 weeks before bitmains announcement ) so I may give there rumors/speculation little bit more credence.

Yeah, but innosilicon is charging $10000 for their miner and its only twice as fast as a D3, yet 8 times the price.  That's not real competition.

I agree... but it forces bitmain to innovate innosilicon can drop prices if they choose to but they know that the market will easily pickup $10k price without betting an eye lash... so they can get away with it for now.
