I think i got the first defective unit

My d3 runs for about an hour, when this error come up:

Sep 20 21:03:33 (none) local0.err cgminer[374]: read_temp_func: can't read all sensor's temperature, close PIC and need reboot!!!


I reconnected all cables. But this changed nothing. Error comes up and blocks the machine. Does anybody have a solution for that?

Perhaps you should try an Firmware Update.
My D3 had also this Error with Hardware Version 1.0.0.6

With new Firmware 1.0.0.7 all ok until now (about 2h)

Got it.

Now in a more objective way of seeing things I do think 1st and 2nd will be able to go for 100-150$ a day until the 3rd batch arrives.
But after that we will be fucked.

So bitmain managed to fuck the X11 too.I wonder what's next......quark, qubit, sia???

Maybe you all should stop blaming Bitmain and also stop bitching.


We get it you are the mighty kings, all able to build a miner from GPU. Now the evil evil chinese company is producing and selling a product and they don't stop after 1 batch for a year that you all can make BILLIONS of dollars with them.

I forgot it was all soooo much more profitable when the asics have not been there. Right because payouts have been 100$ plus a day since the beginning of BTC, LTC and DASH and just because of the L3+ and D3's of the world that now changes  .


Gimme a break!   Stop buying the machines or grow up and do your calculations before you buy. Or maybe you all should get a real job and make your money while actually working

Remember Bitmain doesn't care a single IOTA about the miners.  Or Bitcoin, for that matter.  All they care about it making money.

Therefore they are going to sell as much as they can for as much as they can, with no regard to miners or Bitcoin.

That said, they can only sell what people will buy.  There is plenty of blame to go around here....
