There is a warning for the exchange kraken.com which is currently in beta stage.
It is also very strange that they support Ripple which has also scam warnings.

I've known the creator of Kraken for over 15 years.
He certainly isn't out to scam anyone.

That doesn't mean that his service will be the best,  or imune from hackers or government regulators.
As always,  caveat emptor.

I too can vouch for Kraken's owner, Jesse. I'm very excited to see this exchange go live!

Ripple has a lot of practical uses for actual commerce that can cover for bitcoin's shortcomings.

Kraken looks FUCKING AWESOME. Any good competitors to MtGox are more than welcome.

Today Payward is a software company. The public has been invited to test Payward's exchange software at beta.kraken.com. More about the company's employees, legal structure and position will be revealed if and when we ask you to trust us, which is not now. Chill out.

You really need to read their FAQ to understand what they're about and what the implications for Bitcoin are, they have a clear mission.

Also, ripple is not a scam, despite what you may have read.

I read the comments. Mixed bag, as usual.

For example: "Naming your company after a well known scam that happened in bitcoinland is probably the first red flag."

The server for beta.kraken.com is in Costa Rica and the server for the signup page is in "Europe" (big place) - that can make one paranoid or wildly enthusiastic, depending on one's worldview.    Smiley

Watch and wait, I guess. I'm rooting for them (so far).
