2000 blocks is not  much though
there will be over 100 million coins thats a drop in the ocean
it could have been done for testing purposes
ill be mining this anyway \ i had to wait some time in the QT client before i could get 1 connection
check your .conf files twice for addnode and for right port in cgminer

Can we get a definitive answer on whether this is SHA or scrypt? I can't get either to work.
