is that pool working for anyone, if so what bat you using, his getting started page is incorrect or not updated

Use the info on the homepage instead: http://pwc.hackshardgaming.net/index

ok thanks tried that but just get 100% previous hash wrong messages, that can't be correct.

Everyone is (or close to 100% anyway).

Difficulty is so low right now that blocks are being found really fast.

You must be using guiminer then try forwarding port 9863

CGminer wont work?

Cgminer will work but you said you didnt give it a command. Do you mean you changed the .bat file? If so post your .bat

No I just added the information as a new pool in the actual CGminer window.

It really sounds like you are using the sha 256 guiminer. Do you mean you have a ist of pools to connect to and you added a new one. If one of those pools is slush;s pool you are using guiminer for sha 256 not scrypt. Cgminer is all command prompt based no gui I know of. But don't use it so i could be wrong. I believe it would be better for you to use guiminer scrypt with your level of pc knowledge. It's just much easier

No I'm definitely using the scrypt CGminer (I'm mining on a litecoin pool right now). I'll try guiminer-scrypt.

ya sorry i cant help ya I use guiminer. My girlfriend hops on my mining rig all the time. That way she just clicks a button to stop/start mining. It's too much to even ask her to change the intensity and restart lol

Alright I'm trying to setup guiminer, I downloaded/extracted but when I open it up nothing pops up. I see the icon on the taskbar and in the system tray, but it doesn't show. Could it be because I've had it installed before?

I have modifyed http://pwc.hackshardgaming.net a little bit again.  I have now changed it to 4 PushPool systems using 4 different ports instead of just 2 using 4 ports.  That way each service isn't getting flooded. Please seperate your connections guys!

PowerCoin (PWC) is a scrypt based coin which represents the work that miners endure creating cryptocoins, yet empowers the holder who possesses them.

Now stop for a second. Imagine a coin so powerful, so overbearing, so intense, so excruciating powerful, that your eyeballs EXPLODE from their very sockets. Simply from opening the client.

This is PowerCoin (PWC), this is POWER.

  - 30 sec block target

  - Difficulty retargets twice per day (every 12 hrs)

  - Initially 40 coins per block, halves every 2 years (2,073,600 blocks)

  - 166 million coins total

PLEASE NOTE: As of right now, there is NO OFFICIAL statement about BTER listing PWC. We are awaiting information from an individual who claimed to be a company associate. I will update this thread as it breaks.

Windows Client: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5iATEez7N6USHNhNHFRU0k1ZnM/edit?usp=sharing
Source Code: https://github.com/Powercoin/Powercoin

Initial connection:

addnode=77.251.115.216
addnode=93.219.167.248
addnode=98.219.170.82

9862 - connection
9863 - RPC

'How to Mine'.

Open the client, then go to Roaming and find powercoin folder. Then, make a file called powercoin.conf and put the following code in:

testnet=0
listen=1
maxconnections=100
server=1
rpcuser=*
rpcpassword=*
rpcport=9863
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
addnode=81.17.16.170
port=9862

FULL OF LIES,
NOT GONNA MAKE IT TO ANY EXCHANGES,
