AlternativeCypt took me for 65LTC.

Here is my exchange with him and then a screen shot of Powercoin hours after the deal.  Note, no transactions.

He even states he is "deleting his wallet" but yet bumps his sale of Powercoin.  DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HIM.

I have asked for details of the transaction, no response.

Classic reverse scam where the recipient cannot prove that he received coins as agreed upon and took screenshot prior to receiving, using it as "evidence" is a joke in itself.

He has been discussed several times here on the forum this evening.  Post this thread in the "Scammer" forum so the admins will see it.  Post any other evidence you have.

Charlie Kelly: I'm pleading the 5th.  The Attorney: I would advise you do that.  Charlie Kelly: I'll take that advice under cooperation, alright? Now, let's say you and I go toe-to-toe on bird law and see who comes out the victor?  The Attorney: You know, I don't think I'm going to do anything close to that and I can clearly see you know nothing about the law.

Convenient that you decided to 'delete your wallet' so you can't prove you sent the coins.

He builds rep and tries to hype his honesty (check out his signature), then starts scamming. Eventually someone falls victim.

Dude, you are embarrassing yourself. Just stop. You will get your scammer tag, move on to one of your other 20 accounts and keep derping away. Now fuck off.

So since you obviously still have a wallet...give me a transaction ID for "our" transaction.  Can't?  I didn't think so.  In fact, the block chains will clearly show my address pR7Ae7Ydtv9pszfoGewYZuzsFwcm3752xk does not appear.  And if you want the entire messaging between me and you...I will post it on here AlternativeCypt.  It will show that when I sent mine, I clearly posted the entire transaction, including status.  All you stated is that you "deleted your wallet".

I did delete my wallet. Must I apologize for getting rid of an obvious bagholdercoin after selling what I had?

Check the scam accusations sub forum for all the block chain evidence you need regarding this scumbag. It's all there. He scammed 22 btc from a single user. What a POS.

In criminal law, oftentimes destruction of evidence carries a more significant penalty than the crime itself.

Theft is a crime last I checked.  You won't be prosecuted.  But yes, theft is a crime.  You are being accused by a forum member of theft.  You subsequently admitted that you deleted evidence that pertains to the purported theft.

My comment was therefore relevant.

He will soon...

Regardless - this guy is just going to keep creating alt accounts and scamming those that aren't careful. To minimize your chances of getting scammed it's simple:

- Don't trade first with jr members
- Don't trade first with anyone that doesn't have an established history here
- For large amounts split up the transactions

Obviously you'll also have to use your best judgment, but that covers it 99% of the time. AlternativeCypt was clearly a scammer if you checked his post history, so this all could have been easily been avoided by the OP if he took the time to check.
