I just funded my tradehill account with 100 BTC. Sold the coins at 14 and now I am requesting a wire transfer into my bank account... Let's see how long that takes.

UPDATE: The whole process went smooth and my money is transferred into my bank account. Tradehill.com is the place to go to if you want to trade your BTC with no BS.

Thanks to the Tradehill team and to Jered for your excellent service.

Cheers!!!

Maria.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Looks like someone smart managed to get out before MtGox comes online and all the sellers take that $14 down to single digits.

Its too bad I my funds havent reached my TH account yet, because I'd be buying them up at single digits. I just hope nobody proxies and claims hack, and there has to be another rollback.

Trashing bitcoins is a common strategy employed by those seeking to temporarily cause a panic and gobble them up at the lower price.

The difficulty level is about to go up again, and will further increase the value of the coins.

I just joined Trade Hill also.  Site was slow this morning, but then they posted a "things should be faster now" news update and things were, indeed, much better.

I like that they have a running status on the top of the page letting us know what's going on.

I requested a withdrawal via wire transfer from tradehill and paid for the 24 hour service. 24 hours passed... No money in my bank. Website is down.

Not a good start, but I understand Tradehill. You depend on MT GOX for your business to operate.

Just refund that 25 dollar fee I paid for the 24 service and hurry up with my wire transfer. I got bills to pay.

Getting flooded with requests but that isn't your fault so we refunded the wire fee and it should be in your account tomorrow.

As long as there's no EUR partner it's pretty uninteresting for most of us in Europe...
Quote
NOTE: the minimum amount to transfer is USD$100.00
There is a $20USD fee per wire. Your bank may charge an additional fee.
That's just a joke in itself.

Hey TH,

Any news on EU bank transfers? Fees from the US to EU are quite high.

+1

Tradehill is awesome. They could use a few sophisticated features, like a display of current "Open Orders", etc. but they do have an API so others can create that. For now people can use http://mtgoxlive.com/orders

Anyhow, I've done trades with them, and it all went smoothly. You can send BTC in and out and the transfers are quite timely.

I realize we can't "leave behind" Mt. Gox just yet -- we have to get our money and all -- but I think people should give TradeHill a try. You won't be disappointed.
