Not risking more than one can afford to lose applies to gambling, and not necessarily to investing in Bitcoin itself. I get it that we are dealing with fiat hungry people here, but the main point of importance is that you buy yourself a certain amount of coins that regardless of the price, will never change. If people stop focusing on the on-paper gains or losses, especially so in the very short term, then it will become less of an obstacle. People currently go nuts over the solid decrease in price in the last months because they look at what they had in on-paper value at +$15,000 levels, and see how much lower that value is right now. If you can enjoy the ride up, then also accept the ride back down. Bull runs have never lasted long, especially not if it concerns x10 increases, so it's not that a solid correction comes totally unexpected.
