We are all in the same boat, I don't really understand why fight among eachother?
what's the porpuse? You are allowing System to win, because new people see this mass confusion everywhere.

It's soo simple really:

BTC = bircoin
BCH = bitcoin cash

whats the problem here? It's both cryptocurrency, SAME BOAT.
I wish it was that simple...

BTC= Bitcoin....this forked twice, BCH was forked to save the og bitcoin chain from segwet, segwet is the second fork.

so...
BTC is og btc , slow ,expensive, 1mb
BCH is Bitcoin with 8mb ,soon to be 32mb but requires an update from the user...BCH uses og bitcoin tech and follows what Satoshi had done in the past, increased block size.
segwet,LN on og btc also requires an update from the user, but ln is not user ready yet...and could still fail.

Technically Bitcoin is a fork and Bitcoin Cash is the original blockchain. When the hard fork occurred, people had access to the same amount of coins on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.- NIST

Yes segwit does require a upgrade from the user IF they want to use it no user is forced to though it's 100% backwards compatible

BCH's planned obsolescence is just a bad idea forced on users by it's dictators

Tek...you obs agree with my comment...
can i just point out, using BCH isnt forced either.
What you call a bad idea, i call saving btc from permanent change, what if segwet,ln fails...then what?...thank god we have BCH.

And segwet fork was put through without miners consent, segwet used the node exploit to lie to users saying it was a soft fork,
the reason for the lie was to keep the name and ticker, segwet coin gets called btc.
but as tek agreed above, it requires an update from the user, making it a hard fork just like BCH
LN is new and untested for a long period of time on scale, it is a long way of and very risky for users funds currently.

A hard fork means everyone has to upgrade this is not what happened if it was a HF segwit usage would be at 100% but it's not because not everyone has upgraded but this is slowly increasing as more and more upgrade

BCH is run and controlled by the miners and you will run whatever gets released there is no I don't like this upgrade I'll wait it out you either upgrade or get kicked off

BCH is being run like a dictatorship

I sold a long time ago at a higher value than it is today

The only issue I have is the constant false information that gets spread you never hear me saying buy this or buy that I just post actual facts and let the users decide

32Mb, m'kay.
If we suppose that the blocks get full, it's a 1.6Tb blockchain increase per year.
I don't think the Satoshi's decentralized view was to reduce the number of nodes over the time because the need of an enormous disk capacity.

At the moment it's still low cost to host a node, but it will fail later with that system.

Hi all,

My name is Peter, I am the Community Manager from Cloudbet Bitcoin Casino and Sportsbook and I have some news that I hope will be of interest.

Today we're crediting players who held bitcoin in their accounts at the time of last year's fork with an equivalent amount of BCH, and at the same time we have also launched bitcoin cash betting.

More information is in our new thread here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3268489

We understand there is strong feeling within the crypto community for and against Bitcoin forks; we’re not favouring one coin over another. We just want to offer our customers more choice….. and allow our Design Team to have a little fun with the Star Wars theme. We'll leave it to the Community to decide who is the Empire and who are the Freedom Fighting Rebels.

May the fork be with you!

No just you seem to want more bitcoin users in here so if you want I could ask nicely to pay a visit

looking over the order books BCH could be going quite a bit lower soon there is a fair amount of sell orders around the 0.095 BTC mark but the buy book is looking rather thin all the way down to around 0.90 BTC so im expecting it to drop under 0.089 BTC today and continue its downtrend loosing more ground to BTC
