Death penalty is a big no specially to chatholic church but they dont even know what is the best solution to stop criminality all over the place and for me I will agree in death penalty this is the most effective solution to eradicate criminal acts especially murder and rape and illegal drugs.

No, I don't agree with death penalty. All of us deserve's a second chance if we commit mistakes. Only god can get our lives. I know that all of us are sinners but remember that people can change into better person. Death penalty is very unfair.

I believe that God is the only One who can take away our lives. We are just people and if someone is guilty of something, God has his own way of punishing him or her. Those who are good will receive good karma, and those who aren't will receive a bad karma equivalent to the weight of his/her sin.

I believe that we just borrow our lives from God. And He is the only one who have right to take them away from us.
so what do you think on the victim of rape and murder ? those little kids that victimized by those criminals who intend to be kill with death penalty ? will you carry those criminals in exchange of the victims ?? who you want to be killed ?? why your god let them kill innocent children but don't want to kill those addict and criminals because as you said only god can take away lives ? |

I think the death penalty can reduce crime, so it does not matter if a country imposes a death sentence. if there is a death sentence people will feel afraid to commit a crime.

I agree in death penalty . Death Penalty is applied in some countries, i believe that if there is death penalty the citizens are afraid to commit a crime. Death Penalty must be applied only to those people who committed serious crimes. I believe in God but Death Penalty is a solution for less crimes .

Yes even religious leaders that are not catholic believe and agreed on death penalty. It can less crimes or the best meaning is people will think twice before doing or committing any crimes. And just looking on countries where death penalty are practiced, many people abide and less crime happens. |

Personally, I think those who are given the "death penalty," are being let off too easily in a sense. I believe they should be forced to do harsh labor work. That way you don't run into the "religious" issues, and these people will actually suffer for whatever they have done to deserve the "death penalty."
For those who commit extremely barbarous crimes such as child rape and pedophilia, 30 or 40 years in a penal colony somewhere in Siberia or Congo must be considered, before the execution of the death sentence. |

OK... No problem with that. If some criminal commits a barbarous offence such as child rape, then just send him to some labor camp or gulag, and put him to work for 14 hours a day. And after the work, he must be given 10 lashes with a rattan cane everyday. Whatever earnings generated from his work must be distributed among his victims. There have been cases where people have murdered, but found to be innocent only after they had already gotten the death penalty. For mass murderers, they should get the death penalty. Not so for people who have murdered just one person under questionable circumstances

You are saying that a person can be punished with death penalty if he already killed people. People and not person. So you mean he or she atleastb killed two persons for him or her to put him into death penalty for punishment? And of course those who will sentenced death penalty should be guilty beyond reasonable doubt. That is the law and judges are not that naive to know what is the law. |
