Several days ago  I wrote about factors that show project high potential for growth in this topic  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2030933.msg20281893#msg20281893

I researched all projects from the time they had appeared on  https://coinmarketcap.com/ starting with 2015 and that is what I had noticed.

Only few projects after their were announced were part of top 30 on ico during first week.

2015

Projects / announce date

Stellar XLM - 2015-11-29

Factom FCT - 2015-10-11

Ethereum ETH - 2015-08-09

Asset Backed... ABC - 2015-05-31

NEM XEM - 2015-04-05

GridPay GRID 2015-02-22

GetGems GEMZ - 2015-01-18

2016

Projects / announce date

Ethereum Classic ETC - 2016-10-30

Ardor ARDR - 2016-10-16

Stellar Lumens XLM - 2016-10-16

SingularDTV SNGLS - 2016-10-09

Xaurum XAUR - 2016-08-28

Waves WAVES - 2016-06-26

Lisk LSK - 2016-05-29

The DAO DAO - 2016-05-29

Steem STEEM - 2016-04-24

2017

Projects / announce date

Qtum QTUM - 2017-07-16

EOS EOS - 2017-07-02

IOTA MIOTA - 2017-06-18

Basic Attenti... BAT - 2017-06-04

Gnosis GNO - 2017-05-07

Melon MLN - 2017-03-19

Komodo KMD - 2017-02-12

Golem GNT - 2017-01-08

Iconomi ICN - 2016-10-30

Right now we have a lot of ICO going on that is why I am using the following strategy:
Short term strategy (up to 7 days): Quick profit can be made only on popular projects that are supported by press and famous people in the community.
Mid term strategy (from 7 days to 3 months): projects that announce solution for important problems and that have strong team, portfolio, sales, community support.
Long term strategy (3 months to 3 years): projects containing a lot of pieces of success, each project needs individual deep analysis.

We gotta also understand that strong projects can give results on any time period and any other projects might not survive even before first version will be released.

the listed which you have listed here is profitable, all?

but as far as I know, the WAVES is almost at the brink of collapse, and sure, no profits.

What would be nice is to push the analysis to a scientific level.

Summarizing the parameters that are needed to project the possible success of an ICO may not be enough if you don't know what to look for.

In this case, you listed the successful ICO's, what has to be done now is reverse engineer the project in order to understand WHY it has been successful.
Then you can identify the common traits, key parameters between all these project and propose like a "guideline".

What do you think?

I think it is hard to tell which ICO is profitable. It is always a good idea to take a look at the devs history and who is recommending their project. There are some people in crypto who are a trusted source (to me).

We are a project that works in this direction!

Now I collect the data automatically, I look at what tools are in place and the first samples are automatically sampled automatically for projects that showed growth. Next, we get a lot of information that needs to be processed and reconfigured algorithms for searching and compiling information so that there are recommendations for projects that you should pay attention to.

Our next step is to invite people, analyst assistants, who would help in finding sources of information and confirm the data received in automatic mode.

For a long-term perspective, a very right-wing approach. If you want to make a profit faster, then you can turn things over to other information.

It is not as simple, there are many variables that we are unable to measure and as such it is impossible to make some kind of scientific analysis that can give us light about why a particular project is successful or not, we will need a supercomputer in order to run all the factor and being able to identify the factor that make an ICO a complete success and another similar ICO a failure.

No of them is profitable anymore. You should be an insider to know what does team really think about their ico.

What do you mean "it's impossible to do some kind of scientific analysis"?
I know for certain that having collected all the parameters that we are working on now we will increase the likelihood of selecting projects that will be more profitable!

For understanding. If you buy 5 projects that are most often included in the TOP 30 for the week on profitability at https://coinmarketcap.com/, these are such projects as:

Title       Symbol Count
Peercoin   PPC   41
Litecoin   LTC   41
Novacoin   NVC   39
Devcoin   DVC   38
BitBar   BTB   36

Then, you will get more profit than if you buy 5 projects which were often the worst.

In our team there are a financial analyst, a mathematician and a programmer with extensive experience in data collection and the construction of sheep's systems.

We are already getting better results for ourselves on investments using the collected data.

Such monsters in the search and launch of successful startup projects like Y Combinator and 500 Startups have no more than 7% of the project that have increased their capitalization by more than 10 times entering the market.

We have experience with start-ups and we are ready to believe only 2% of companies that are represented today in the lists https: //coinmarketcap.com

Now we have difficulties with manual verification of results because of the huge volume. But the results are already good, and we are looking for analytics who want to join our group and take a couple of projects each to monitor and research!
Perhaps we will also do ICO

This is not always the case. Profit making on ICO might be fast or slow depending on how it goes. Identifying possible profitable is somehow hard but i do always see on physical aspects and those coins being listed on each year category does really have progress which we can almost see they are on the top of ranking which is good for those people who jumped in.

most profitable ICO or cryptocurrency are those who are using proof of work blockchain method or in layman's term as mineable coin.  mineable coins are quite more challenging than non-mineable coins. mineable coins have higher market price than non-mineable coin. cyrpto currency that belong to top30 list are mostly mineable coins.

Will they finally amend the current UI?

Profitable ICO is one bought beneath ICO price, like we have chances to see now. Yes this is bad for investors who sell now, but if you hold eventually in few months situation will change. MCO for example is best opportunity i can find out there, considering number of coins in circulation and big expectations..

What project parameters do you consider useful or convenient on this site?

Could you describe how you use this site?

Our Gamerbits Asian eSports capped ICO is expected to perform very well, it is limited to $900k USD ICO total value with many coins accepted.

So I expect that should give very good performance on these types of charts. Website is https://gbits.io

It's not really that simple to identify the project under criteria. I seperate them into two phase. ICO phase and progress phase. One can develop a good ICO phase and after that it can fail in progress. Or their funds can get stolen by hackers, this ruins the rest of the project. I see ICOs are dependent on chance only.

For companies below the top ten, as a rule, neither of which is not worth it. Only marketing and the process of the team's work (which is already good), when estimating more than half I estimate marketing and influence on the audience.

An ICO is profitable in short-term when the hype about it is bigger then the hard-cap.
Mid/long term it's fully project specific like in classical venture investing.

I believe ICO's should undergo proper stages.
This one has unique concept, a risk-free crowdfunding.
This is another face of ICO, this time it's different.
Most of ICO's in the past were blatantly risky, investing in overpriced tokens.
