Quark 0.10.6.3

- Enables staking by default

Downloads:

https://github.com/quark-project/quark/releases/tag/v0.10.6.3

To stake your coins your wallet will need to be synced and unlocked. Coins need to be at least 30 days old to stake. Note it can take a while to stake (days in some cases). The older the coins and the larger the amount the more likely it is to stake.

0.10.6.3 Quark staking very nicely. All working smoothly.

confirms very fast and coins spendable in no time.

Very impressed.

Great work Quark community and devs.

Looking forward to the masternodes in 0.10.7

Success!
Staking perfectly.
I have a balance from 2014 that I got year over year reward. Excellent.

To Stake:
1. install the latest update. 0.10.6.3     https://github.com/quark-project/quark/releases/tag/v0.10.6.3
2. select help - debug window
3. select console tab
4. enter into console text field:     setgenerate true
5. enter into console text field:     walletpassphrase mywalletpassphrase 100000
                                                            ^                          ^                      ^
(command)        (your passphrase)     (number of seconds for unlock)

6. press ctrl L to clear your console.
7. close debug window and watch your coins get minted if they are 30 days old or greater.

Happy staking!!!!

Item 5. is the unlocking procedure to stake and mint your coins. This is only required if your wallet is encrypted.

Video tutorial I just found to help.    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIe2tqaLxfQ

thanks for this.

but would be nice the developers give to us a version which we can just choose unlock just for staking, most POScoins has this.

yea that would definitely be useful and i seriuosly can't understand why it's not already present

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Looks like it is over guys

It's a shame that they put a lot of work into the hybrid wallet and now progress looks dead again.

The new website, roadmap and Masternodes are still being worked on behind the scenes.

Hello guys!

I appeal to you as to the holders of the token  QRK
I suggest that you ask the developer to add your token to the Ethereum Anonymizer (SATOSHI WALLET) list.
This service will allow you to anonymously transfer your token from the holder to the holder.

They have a good affiliate program. Now comes the pre-sale.
This is my invitation code for the investor 0xeB60289fea2F4B7a25B848Fd6F0692B60848Ff1f
The investor on the pre-sale receives 50% of bonuses, + up to 20% for using the invitation code)))

Quark has been around for so long, but how is it currently doing? Any chance to make it relevant again?

On a well followed YouTube channel an ico called Quarkchain has just been mentioned as an exciting prospect.  Quark was a famous name in crypto and now some one is using the name it.  Or are we involved in some way?Huh

Gravey.

It seems this new one is an ERC-20 compatible token distributed on the Ethereum blockchain.
But they've pinched the name, as did Qwark, more or less.
Quark is the third most copied cryptocurrency and is the original.

Have some mining reward payouts from aikapool that have not hit my wallet - is there anything going on with Quark that would delay or mess up transfers?

Example of one of the payouts - QPRFNhrVBXayTKwJPo98nirxUt6nK8URMZ transaction 7d874cd134bfe71f4a98f3edccc6cccf7d039f11b957ca9977e661eb657d98b6

I disabled quark mining for now until I can find out if I am going to get payments...  Have several payments not showing up, but above is the first.

Thanks!

Ok, so nobody on this project has a clue why I didn't get my money.  I wouldn't trust this craptocoin as far as I could throw my house...

aikapool.com seems to be a scam.  I mined there and didn't get my payout.  Sent the owner messages, never replied.  Stay away!

That is not true though, Max, the original developer, has been working on a huge upgrade for Masternodes, last year the coin was upgraded to Pow/Pos hybrid.  He uploaded a new branch to Github last week for Masternodes.

https://github.com/quark-project/quark/tree/0.10.7-fixes

Also a new website and mobile wallets are coming soon.

Check out Slack for more information.

With this setup "Total of 247 million QRK will be mined in ~ 6 months, after that ~ 1 million QRK p.a. (~ 0.5% p.a inflation)"  i really don't care about any further developments.

Let me tell you.
POS, which was added last year, has a 3.5% annual interest rate.
So let's say that 1/3-1/2 quark is involved in the POS, and it's expected to produce 2.8 million to 4.3 million.
Next add the masternode, which has 2.5 million rewards.
And there's an additional 1 million quarks to the foundation.
Add the original 1 million to the POW miners.
So start with the next version.
The quark produce 7.3 million to 8.8 million per year.

The quark total annual inflation rate will be between 2.92% and 3.5%.
This is the highest international recognition of inflation.
I hope you can see our efforts.

Thanks for the explanation, but my post was about the fact that ~97% of the current circulating supply was mined in the first 6 months.
Anyway, good luck!

What languages is QuarkChain still looking to get their whitepaper translated into? Would they be interested in having an Afrikaans translation? Has it already been translated into Afrikaans?
