As far as i see till 40000 block it's still hybrid. By 'running staking node' i mean I'm mining on my rig and hosting staking wallet with my mining earnings on my personal PC for 24/day
I've got good feelings too, POW/POS hybrids with mining phase are by far better option than ICO in my opinion since it's more fair. The only thing that takes my concern is how much total supply will be when 40k block will be discovered since POS blocks count towards it.

Oh I see what you mean. I agree with you early mining rewards are like an ICO but you actually get what you paying for as you mine it. So how much have you minedso far ? I'm at 20k

Got 60k from throwing my 2x1080ti from 24 july ~3a.m till 25 ~3a.m.
Now since diff increased 10x i've jumped back to my normal mining, still keeping eye for last blocks rewards increase, maybe i'll throw some hashes then too

It looks like the explorer is keeping up with things. I cleared the server of everything (surprising how much crap I had), but will upgrade if she starts lagging again. Expect a few blocks lag, as cron runs at 1 minute, but as long as she catches up the next time she runs, all is good.

I bumped it up to 2.. See if that helps. Also, make sure you're using the stratum+tcp://altmining.org:3045 port. I ran the verificator, and it says it's completely compatible. So, it should work just fine with this new difficulty(Although it did say that with the first one).
