Hello, I am offering a group buy and hosting on 10 GHash/s ASICMINER Blades.  I plan to buy 5-50 devices and overclock them to put out 12.5 gigahash/second  Update 5/28/2013 *reduced fee to 6.5%; John K will be escrow if you guys want to use him; we need 10 units pledged for *minimum*.  Please post your interest in this thread so John K can see your interest.

..." 48.99BTC for 10 or more
     47.99BTC for 20 or more
45.99BTC for 50 or more"  this is what friedcat has quoted me.

Asicminer has told me they will sell 50 blades to me at 46 BTC a pop so that is why I think its best to get a group buy going.

John K. is escrow.

The hosting fee will be 6.5% of the actual pool's hash rate.   Blades will cost 46-49btc each; depending how many you buy.
This means, I get 6.5% of the total hash rate of the pool of devices hosted.  I will even overclock the blade for you to maximize results.  If you do not wish me to host, the device can be shipped to you at very little cost.

This covers power costs, space rental, internet, security and administration.

Dividends will be paid every 1 - 2 weeks as paying out daily would increase transaction fees and headaches for me.  I have a few positive transactions on bitcointalk, however we can use John K as an escrow and he will know my identity and have things like my address; utility bill and drivers license.

AMENITIES INCLUDED

The 8% fee covers power; networking of data; internet; central AC, UPS - battery backup / surge protection, additional secondary portable air conditioning (10,000 BTU), and fan cooling; and hosting, security, and management of the devices.

I can also set up a web camera for a live feed of the hosting operation.

Although I prefer 25-50+ units, we only need 5+ units to get this rolling.
Buyer will pay shipping if he/she wants blade shipped to them.   Buyer pays fees for his/her blade's power supply as well.

Thank you for your time.

interested. pm sent.

I have received 4 inquiries about this, we are still ~10 units;   I need more people interested, 25-50 would be a good number to have.

as I said we can use John K as escrow if need be and I have positive feedback from 4 transactions.

**Please publicly post interest and pledges to buy blades in this thread** John K wants to see at least 10% interest  or 5 blades.

Can you ask Friedcat if it will ship immediately after payment is received? Just want to see how long the ETA will be.

This is a remake of the following topic because he received negative feedback and scam warnings: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=204461

tldr: This is a scam or a terrible terrible offer. Either way do not accept, you can only lose. Escrow does not protect you in a batch buy like this as he requires funds upfront, and obviously the same with hosting.

dogie is just mad because I proved he was a complete moron in his 7990 malta thread.  maybe next time he should buy the hardware before speculating and acting like a complete jackass.
Its funny he claims he has a 200k/ year google job lined up yet he lacks the social skills to even keep a $10/hour job.

Getting back to business....

I am using John K as escrow

Hosting fee has since been changed to 8%.

Any chance I can get you to do escrow on my group buy?

I can verify who I am, power bill, etc to you as long as you can keep it private.

I am trying to charge 10% hosting fee if they want it hosted.

Asciminer said they would give blades to me at 46btc a piece if I bought 50 units.

Perhaps I should charge a slight premium.
Yes I can do so.  Sorry for the delay again as I had something urgent to attend to that took me out of state. Just tell me when your pledges reach 10% of your group buy funding for me to release an escrow contract.

Thanks,
John

Not at Google, I turned them down after working there Wink You can't escrow a payment first group buy - you're financing the purchase with the buyers money, so you need the buyers money to buy. You can't escrow hosting, you can just walk off with the hardware and the income and nothing stops you.

Reduced hosting fee to 6.5%; I am open to the possibility of having shares on the blades.
Have interest in ~10-15 blades.
