I heard Enjin is now considered a utility, as opposed to a security. Is that true? If so, that will allow all investors to avoid legal trouble in the US and China.

It was always considered a utility 100%. We have legal documents from 3 separate legal firms confirming for 3 separate jurisdictions (Singapore / Hong Kong/ Canada) that we are considered a utility and not a security.

I'm in,  I put 25 ETH which gives me 150K coins.  New to ICO.  I have only put money towards two.  This one and Electroneum which I went in ever harder on.  Time will tell if I made a good decision on these.  Scary yet exciting.

I got my tokens. I'm super excited about this project. I'll be spreading word of it and hopefully will be getting a Minecraft server to move to adopt it. Finally! A currency just for virtual items - and one that shows a lot of polish and promise from what is a very successful and 100% gamer company. This is right in my ballpark. I look forward to November. I want to see how the gaming community will start to accommodate ENJ.

Snow, are you a gamer? Do you see Enjin having value in the gaming community? If so, why?

I see Enjin having HUGE value in the gaming community. Sale and trade of virtual items in multiplayer gaming communities is huge. A good example of this would be Team Fortress 2. Even though the goods in TF2 technically are not supposed to be traded for real money - the selling and trading of TF2 items is a huge deal. There are many websites dedicated to trade of items in this game alone and interestingly enough use very rare items as a form of currency with uncommon items as a fraction of that currency.

Having a legitimate cryptocurrency dedicated to virtual items for one thing would help stabilize prices, prevent fraud, help prevent theft, and even allow trading of items - where the company that owns the game forbids trading for actual money. This is particularly where it's going to explode. This will effect companies such as Steam in certain ways for sure. But it does NOT have to be negative. They just have to evolve. Steam doesn't want you to pay another gamer for an item he/she may have, because they sell that item themselves for real cash in the Steam store. So, gamers who trade in TF2 can only trade with another item of equal value. This gets complicated and theft happens regularly. If a gamer has a certain gun that I may want, but I don't have the necessary items to trade with. I can either A. buy the item in the steam store and then trade. B. Buy that gun myself. C. Buy it from that gamer with Enjin through a dedicated trading site. D. Buy it directly from that gamer via wallet to wallet transaction with Enjin. Enjin makes it easier. But this is grey right, because, now in a way I'm cheating Steam. If they evolve to incorporate Enjin into their service - they could earn dividends from trading while at the same time they could also use Enjin for contests, rewards, etc. Also by keeping control of trading - they earn their dividend from providing extra security against fraud/theft. My understanding might still be limited, but this is how I see it.

For many games, micro transactions will also be easier with a dedicated currency. So will trading of items between multiple games.

I'd type much more sorry, but I have class tomorrow and am tired. Tongue

In short: Enjin knows what they're doing and this is something even I thought about long ago (not as a currency, but pondering some sort of system for improved sale/trade of virtual items). If I could afford it, I'd be buying tons of ENJ right now, but I'm happy with the starter amount I have. And, this is my opinion. I personally believe if you invest into ENJ, you will be making a good choice.

Very well said. It always makes me more confident in my investment when I read things like this from gamers. I personally am not one, but it seems that every one I have talked to sees huge value in Enjin.

Very active and responsive team on Telegram/Slack, nice to see ICO progress as well.Almost 80% and growing fast, at this rate ICO will end most probably within next 48hrs. Got my hands on ENJ coins by investing 5 ETH and I'm super excited by seeing the Enjin progress.  Smiley
A big step taken for the gaming industry, I hope this project will be a great success in future.

Yeah, got the same error for a while, I logged in my wallet again and it worked after.

thanks! Logged out of my wallet, logged back in and the transaction worked. However, even though the transaction has been completed, the ENJ tokens are still not showing on my wallet. I am also using the link provided on Enjin's how to participate guide (https://enjincoin.io/account/) to check my balance, but I get the following message "We could not find the Ethereum account you requested.". Transaction was made over 3 hours ago from MEW. Is there a different way to check balance? has everyone received their tokens right away or did it take a few hours? Thanks!

I got them almost instantly. Did you verify the correct address, there are several scam addresses out there.

Did you check your address on Etherscan... could just be a wallet issue.

Crowdsale is LIVE!
ONLY go to https://enjincoin.io
all other sites are a scam (DO NOT CLICK ON GOOGLE ADS) it is scam link https : // enjincoin .me/
More than 577 ETH be stolen
During the crowdsale we are not allowing any links or addresses posted in here for the safety of our contributors.
DO NOT USE ANY EXCHANGES TO  SEND CONTRIBUTIONS OR RECEIVE TOKENS.
For the users who interested invest in enjin token always check the link first before sending the ethereum. Good luck

You shouldn't put a scam link, as a link. The more things that link to it, the more search engines show it.

Nice! I bought most of my ETH at about $20, but was too gun shy to do that much. I hope it pays off for all of us.

Only move 1% in last 10 hours to 80%.   Looks there is time before it sells out.  Perhaps Part of that 80% included the presale.  That or a lot of people were lined up as soon as it opened and now it really slowed down.

I am also new to ICOs, and Enjin and Electroneum are the 2 projects I chose to invest in as well (not as much as you did ... I wish though). You are right, only time will tell about the investments, but for the time being I am confident in those 2 (I have been pleasantly surprised how the Enjin team has handled the pre-sale and ICO). I will hold for the time being and see what happens.

The sale has gone stale it seems. People out side of the ICO will be getting it cheaper on the open market soon. RIP us early investors.

The schedule for the public sale has always been the entire month of October. In interacting with their team over the past month it seems clear that they aren't too worried about hype and prefer lots of small investors trickling instead of whales. I'm sure they'll reach their cap before the month ends.

I'm invested heavily, and in looking at their road map, I'm sure I'll be holding for 6 months minimum. Every ICO is a risk. But instead of risks like being a scam, not having a real team, or the coin having no real utility, the risks here are centered around their ability to pull this off from a technical standpoint and in having the gaming community buy in. I'm betting on them getting the job done.  Fingers crossed.

I don't think so.. its 80% sold already and the ICO ends at the end of the month. It will be sold out.

There's also the pre-sale, which sold out fairly quickly.
