After its rise approaching the $2,800 level almost two days ago, Bitcoin is now on a retreat again. I am speculating that this must be due to the recent announcement that there will be a new coin to be called as Bitcoin Cash and the continuing fear of what can be on and after August 1.
Until we can get over August 1, there will be that dark cloud appearing above Bitcoin and it has become a big issue so far affecting its movement and value. I am just simplifying things here so I want to hear all of your analysis and comments on this latest development.
It's not hard to understand why the bitcoin goes down, hardfork is still the thing that makes people feel the most nervous, the bitcoin value will definitely go down if it's split, so many people start selling bitcoin to preserve the money. => The price of bitcoin go down. It is not just the hard fork - there is negative news about btc-e, the SEC restricting ICOs, etc. So the price is kind of being held back now. In a week after the emergence of bitcoincash, things will clear up. Yeah it's really having good fluctuation in the marketplace and that's right it's nothing to do about hard fork, that's a normal fluctuations which occurs after some spikes of the price. For now we are currently going up again after the dropoings, so expect for many dumps after we hit the few pumps to go. |

I would not be surprised if the price falls back to under 2k. Many people will (I did) sell some altcoins to get some free BCC.
And there is also the ICO's cashing out before 1/8
Sellings alts bring a negative sentimate in the market and thus expect it to go down more.

Of course the bitcoin will go down again, nowadays, people are seeing a division with bitcoin, which makes them worry about its future, when the bitcoin is divided, its value will decrease. So many sell it now to preserve their money. |

Maybe you are right that it is about the split that will happen in order to produce the new coin, the Bitcoin Cash (BCC). However, I think that it does not give the community a fright or whatsoever. It seems the drop is just a small correction. Nothing is to be worried for now but preparing for August 1 is advised just like the post of theymos himself. |

Maybe you are right that it is about the split that will happen in order to produce the new coin, the Bitcoin Cash (BCC). However, I think that it does not give the community a fright or whatsoever. In fact, I heared Bitcoin Cash just altcoin use old blockchain when BIP148 active. If before July 31st active BIP141 complete all, not have BIP148 in August 1st and not have issue about Bitcoin network split chain. Just fake news helps whales buy a huge amount Bitcoin with cheap price  |

it seems we are getting high volatility arount 2K$. i think direction will be strong after 1 Aug. Just wait if fork occurs and how it will be managed. |

Bitcoin's price has started to recover once again.All the previous happenings and fall in price was due to FUD spread by big whales that hard fork is going to happen.Big whales encouraged panic selling by this way among weak hands and they just grabbed bitcoins at cheap price from their hands.But now,every one has started realizing that bitcoin will not split and hence the price rise. |

This changes is normal this how people make profit if bitcoin is stable on that price maybe they will hate bitcoin because they can't even make profit from the mother of all coins and they will depends only from alternative coins which is it is really hard to wait or make profit from a month and you need to buy tons of coins to make a good profit from it. The movement of bitcoin the price increase and down is the sign of bitcoin that bitcoin is getting and getting more stronger and in demand by time to time.

In the market, crypto-currencies are always stable and at the right time even succumbed to artificial manipulation. So the price fluctuations, it's not a reason to think that Bitcoin is prone to failure. At least his time has not come yet. |

Remember the market and whales always doing the opposite the choice of most trader on market. So, when have more people think Bitcoin drop down, market will make Bitcoin increasing, and when think increasing to highest price as past week, the price of Bitcoin has correction to $2400  |
