Will there be any support for hardware wallets like Nano S or Ledger or ...?
Or will there a software wallet with 2FA yubikey/nitrokey integration?
All for a better level of security
Software for Hardware wallet is in developing.

You should check Arizen wallet which is in beta but i'm using it. https://github.com/ZencashOfficial/arizen ->

 encrypted login pass
encrypted [your_login].awd file - storing all your data
encrypted users.arizen file - storing all users login data
 multiple accounts
 password protection
you have to create strong password
 automatically download updates
Will Zen have any bounty or signature campaign? If yes, i would like to join it. Thanks dev

I've been watching zencash for a long time, the spurt in the last few days is just excellent. if they continue, they will overtake zcash

That's ambitious! not saying it won't happen but might take a while to catch the original zcash chain Smiley

There is no reason why zcash is worth more than zencash at this point, technnologically we are better.
Absolutely and I like ZenCash came without all the hype

This is totally off topic and has nothing to do with ZenCash. Also it is unpleasant for reading, avoid this kind of posts here!
Thanks!

Hi all, hope you can help. Been trying to follow the quoted instructions. All has gone as planned until the point where I log into the server using putty. I input root@[ip address] and the command window opens asking for a password. I input the password by copy pasteing the server password into the window but it just says "Access Denied". I'm running default settings. Any idea of what I can try to gain access?

Thanks!

What is the difference between a private block chain and a public block chain? For example, Is Bitcoin a public block chain? Is a private block block chain mean that others can not see your transaction history? Is this the basic meaning?

ZenCash supports two types of transactions:

T transactions
T transactions are the traditional blockchain-recorded transactions controlled by a private
key in a wallet.

Z transactions
These are transactions sent to shielded addresses, as inherited from Zcash and Zclassic.
Balances in shielded addresses are private. If spending to one or more shielded addresses,
the value stays private but any transparent addresses on the receiving end will deshield the
token and reveal the value received on the blockchain. The input shielded addresses and
whether the value was sent from one or two of these remains confidential when deshielded.

Hello MedaR. When are you going to start secure node on mine chain? If i will have for example 2x42=84 zen, will I have 2 secure nodes or how will it exactly work?
Thanks for your answer!

Very soon secure nodes will go beta. More information will announce soon.

The basic requirements of Secure Nodes are:

Maintain a minimum of 42 ZEN in transparent address per node. Demonstrates the operator cares enough about ZenCash to own some.
Create and maintain a valid TLS certificate from a known Certificate Authority. This enabled encrypted data transport.
Run the node on a server with enough processor and memory so that it can meet a computational challenge. This protects against DDoS attacks.
Maintain a full copy of the ZenCash blockchain. This makes sure no UTXO’s  or commitments are lost.
Keep the node up and running at least 92% of the time.
3.5% of the ZenCash mining reward is distributed to all Secure Nodes which meet the requirements during each pay period.

Story about Secure Nodes is too complex to be told in few lines, please watch this video for a start:

So we do need a domain name for a secure node. Namecheap is cheap for the first year, but make sure to check how much the 2nd year costs from wherever you buy your domain from. Those guides are really easy to understand.  Cool

There are plenty of free DNS providers where you can get a domain name.

hi would you mind sharing one? Thank you

I use freedns.afraid.org.  People upload their registered domain names, and allow people to make subdomains off of it.  So for instance if someone purchased xyz.xyz and provide it to feedns.afraid.org, and made it public, then you can make a node1.xyz.xyz subdomain, and use that as the host name for your rig.  You just point your IP to that subdomain, and viola.  You have your own publicly available domain name that you can access for free.  When you are doing the letsencrypt steps in the zencash secure node preparation, you supply the FQDN of "node1.xyz.xyz"

No reason to purchase your own domain name unless you really want a specific domain name or a vanity name.

Agree but for whatever reason incumbency seems to hold some weight over tech edge. Take bitcoin for example...

Hi! Are the zk-SNARKs already implemented in the coin and fully functional? Or is that still being developed?
ZenCash began as a chainsplit from Zclassic which one is fork of Zcash and inherits all its features, including zk-SNARKs.
will moon again?
Which moon? Personally, it gonna be dumped soon. Pump and dump cycles are very interesting if you can take advantage and earn money from those cycles. Good luck, dude.
Normal correction after enormous jump.
Anyone known why ZEN price  pump? did they stable or dump after.
In case it stable i will move my rig here to mine
Many things are still to come, Nodes going beta, hardware wallet soon. A Lot of events which you can find announced here on this thread.
Yes this project definitely have good potential.

Good stuff. Ae you trying to be as similar as possible to Zcash or are there things under way that will distinguish you from Zcash?

Good stuff. Ae you trying to be as similar as possible to Zcash or are there things under way that will distinguish you from Zcash?
Zen has totally different approach and different goals, I must advise you to read white paper for in depth understanding of what we are trying to achieve here.

In short, we are oriented toward better users experiences trough multiple new wallets , secure messaging and publishing abilities. Also Secure Nodes will put us somewhere in between Zcash and Dash. Nodes are profitable but they will not be like Dash's master nodes, and their main task is securing of network, profitability is in the second plan.

Government system which will be implemented will include all holders, pools, exchanges..All interested parties. Entire Zen system evolution depends on feedback's from it community, and system itself. Constant changes and implementation of different existing technologies will take place on public demand. Our own research and development will be community driven.

* Through  implementation of Secure Nodes we made our first and big difference!
