How much on average does the yield come from a node per month?
So far we have around 800 nodes in total. How much you will get monthly directly is determined by the number of nodes in system, all nodes will get equal share 3.5% of every mined block, if conditions are satisfied.

https://securenodes.eu.zensystem.io/
https://zennodes.network/

Ues this calculator http://zen.lebre.net/
5000 is expected number of nodes but you can play with numbers between 1000 and 5000 nodes.
Price per VPN  is around 5$ maybe litle more.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Thanks for detailed information. Are secure nodes better than masternodes of other coins? Or it simply a name of node and its features are almost the same.
Secure Nodes improves network security - Whole communication is encrypted and secured with secure nodes, which is not the case with typical master nodes who are vulnerable, and can be compromised in certain cases.
Secure nodes are profitabil 3.5% from every block is reserved as reward for nodes and this numbe is lower when you compare it with other projects with mastre nodes, profitability was not main concern in case of Zen.
What system is better only time will tell, but if you have 42 Zen ~ 1000 USD you can start your own secure node, all other coins are too expensive if you compare them this way.

Anything extra besides changing test option in the settings we have to do in order to switch our secure nodes from test to main net?

You have to set new “staking” public T address where you will have 42 Zen and send to Z address on SN real Zen

Best would be for you to join channel #securenodes on Discord ->invite for discord: https://discordapp.com/invite/9kXQFHx

I am new to swing wallet. Why is Wallet downloading so much data? I don't have enough space on my SSD and I don't know how to point this downloading to a different drive.
Any tips on that?

Hello, I read the whitepaper and read about the Full node, which requires 42 Zencash. Is there any tutorial on how to setup such a node and start staking?

Thanks so much! I will study those tutorials and try to setup one. It seems to be a bit more complicated than I originally thought, but I guess I can do it.

4gb of ram or ->
1GB ram + 4GB swap
2GB ram + 4GB swap
4GB ram + 0GB swap (or you can optionally add it)

(Exchanging data between real memory and virtual memory is "swapping". The space on disk is "swap space".)

Near the end of October a Crypto researcher told me and some others that during the next few weeks, the project was most likely going to make a big announcement that would make Zen Cash the most secure network in the world. He said that when this announcement was made, investor money would flood into the coin.

The coin was trading at $7:00 when we were told that, but now the coin has risen quite a bit in value.

Does anyone have any idea if a big announcement was made between October 21st and November 23rd or could this big announcement be something we still are waiting for?

If it is something in the future then the coin could go up quite a bit more in value from what it is selling for right now.

I can not ask this person who told me about the announcement since he is beyond my communication reach.

Thank you for your help,

G.P.

We are waiting for Secure Nodes to go online (mainnet) announced for November 30th.
You can get all details from our latest video update -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvZ1PWakWCA

We all making our own decisions, and I won't encourage speculative discussions in this thread. My personal belief is that this project is really something special! Cool

So you are saying that the big announcement is that secure nodes will be there on November 30th?

It is being beta tested right now?

Thank you.

http://zen.lebre.net/

Just plugging in the numbers that exist now, a person would be quite wealthy in just a short amount of time running a secure node.

Even if the numbers are just a fraction of what that website tells me, it would be wise to get another computer just to run one secure node.

Am I not seeing something here?  Am I missing something?

I realize it is just beta right now, but what if that site is giving true profitability amounts when we get to the next phase?

Help me to see the light if I am not looking at this correctly.

Could it be wise to buy another computer just for 43 Zen Cash tokens to run a secure node and have the computer on continuous uptime?

Thanks,

G.P.

If there will be 1000 nodes as i used for example, and price per zen is 30 USD then it will be like this:

Monthly Reward per Secure Node (100% uptime): 7.56 ZEN

Value in USD: 226.80$

Monthly Profit in USD: 221.80$

Annual Profit in USD: 2661.60$

Annual Profit in ZEN:: 88.72 ZEN

Annual ROI in Zen: 211.24%

So it is good but not crazy Smiley

I would suggest that you setup a secure node on a VPS instead of buying a new computer as that way you would have a more stable uptime. And a VPS is just cheap rent per month while the computer would add electrisity costs ontop of the purchase. Smiley The tutorials for setting up a secure node have some suggestions on good VPS's as well Smiley

For secure issue, specially if you mining or other thing on your private network.

Is always a good thing to use VPS, that avoid DMZ issue and all security problem relative to this one ...

Since your node is on the network, your IP at home will be know per every wannabee attacker

So VPS is the good way.
