It's fun to throw out prophecy now and then, eventually you can be right and hailed as an expert Smiley

I notice he has another post titled "Prepare for the Bitcoin doldrums" where he says:

Quote
I would like to make a prediction that we are about to enter another period of intolerable calm in the world of Bitcoin (it won’t be the first); that the wind responsible for blowing the virtual currency ship to new heights this year has eased, and that our ship has slowed, edging forth hopefully, but helplessly.

He made this prediction on May 4th, just before we entered this period of relative calm. Maybe he has predictive skillz  Cool

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

It could happen does not imply it will/should happen.
The price could go down to $0.1 in a day too, it is a possibility. It does not mean it will/should happen in the foreseeable future.

Whats so hard about getting your money on gox  I never understood why people complain about it. Just do a wire, wait max 4 days and it Will reach your account, sometimes email them on fourth day their support takes care of it. They accept all major currencies, can't get any easier than this.

Btce on the under hand sucks for deposits.

With Dwolla it's even easier.  Direct deposit to Dwolla from a credit union is free but takes the equivalent time of a check to clear.  Then transfer to MtGox for 25 cents in 24 hours.

I thought that too until I tried to open a Dwolla account. The security requirements are ridiculous. It's harder to get an account there than a top secret security clearance.

I didn't intend to criticize the powers of the OP!  Many people see and know things I don't Smiley
