First and foremost, thank you all for being faithful members of this community. As most early members have known, the BLAS project was abandoned by its founding developers a year ago. The project floated around for a while until three core members of this community revived the coin from dead, just 7 months ago. They each are very successful in their respective careers with their own tech companies. However, they saw the potential of BLAS. They did not need to pursue building a community out of this, but used this as an opportunity to become revolutionary visionaries in the crypto space. Despite obligations with family, own company, and leisure time, they still spent countless hours building this community. Thank you team.
Fast forward to the past two months. We have released a functioning hybrid PoW/PoS 3.0 wallet that helped investors foster high yield (200%). We have grew the coin’s value to over 10x at one point. Our team grew from 3 core members to 11 members; From 2 developers to 5 developers and from 1 strategic officer to 6 officers. The telegram community grew from 200 people to 645 people. The same type of growth was experienced in our Discord channel. We have seen a massive increase in participation (over 300% increase engagement) from community members in marketing, exchange-onramp, use-case, and other efforts.
These are great accomplishments to us and we have ambitions to grow even further. As you all know, we’re undergoing a rebrand right now. There is a lot of work going into rebrand, including: use cases, roadmap, new website, marketing strategy, chain migration, coin swap, exchange notification, new web/software wallet, new mobile apps, partnerships, and the list goes on. The team has sacrificed time from leisure, family, and even own company, to push this community project forward. We do this during our free time for no charge. Our only desire is to learn and contribute. We are proud to say, we’re almost done!
In an ideal world, we would have released everything already! However, there were some obstacles. Just yesterday, we found block 150,000 was the end for PoW mining. There were two solutions the team discussed: 1) Dedicate resource and time to fix this issue and let the stakes continue. 2) Focus on new blockchain development for ERA so we can rebrand faster. We have decided that option 2) is optimal. There are some people who have been with BLAS for a while and have been holding more than 5million coins. This means they won’t receive stake rewards in the time-being. However, they did not fret because they believed that in the long run, this obstacle is miniscule. They have already understood the long-term value that BLAS or now ERA holds. They have faith in our team and community and will continue doing so. Thanks for being patient. So, what’s next?
The crypto-market is currently in flux and volatility is through the roof. We would like to time and strategize the best time to release. This would mean investors would need to regain confidence in the market.
We are going to be as transparent as possible. Here is a timeline:
1) Currently developing and optimizing new ERA chain (1-2 weeks)
2) Working with exchanges and developing new wallets on coin swap system( 2-3 weeks)
3) Website release with Use Case, Roadmap, and more. (1-2 weeks)
