I think WDC will eventually be worth about one USD which will be easy to remember. It should be worth more but all the alts are down compared to where they should be. Here is how they should be valued against BTC.

Coin Coins
Per
Block
Time
Per
Block

(secs)
Coins
per
Hour
Value
vs
BTC
$USD
BTC 256001501$122.00
LTC 5015012000.125 $15.25
FTC 20015048000.03125$3.81
CNC 886052800.028409$3.47
WDC 321576800.01953$2.38

That table assumes difficulty is irrelevant which is true as roughly the same number of coins will be produced per hour regardless.

It also assumes that scrypt vs sha256d take the same amount of energy to mine, I don't know if that's a good thing to assume and would like some more data on that.

It also neglects good will which is a very important component in the final price.

Food for thought and further discussion anyway.

I just bought more WDC with the the cheap price.  Grin
whats cheap to you guys and what do you think should be the going rate and expected rate?
I believe WDC should be going for around .003 BTC. It has the potential to do much better when the difficulty starts getting into the hundreds eventually. It's just the miners are noobs and sell too cheaply, same thing happened to FTC and CNC when they first listed. Sure, most low difficulty coins aren't worth much. People don't get what fast transactions means.

I will give you an example, atm if you wanted to use Bitcoin for a drive though take away payment, you would have to accept zero confirmations! As you couldn't afford to hold up the line for 10min waiting, even 2.5min of LTC would be impractical. With WDC it suddenly becomes an option. Think about that.

sounds good.  now what can I buy with wdc?  can I pay a bill with it?

You can buy silver with it than convert that to fiat to pay your bills.

Yeah but when tried to buy at 0.0008 again nobody was selling, and went all the way up to 0.0014 again.
Sellers are much more smarter on mcxNEW than in BTCe

The worst enemy of Bitcoin is Mt.Gox exchange.

Another thing to consider is if you look at coinwarz.com its exchange fluctuation is green like bitcoin, & litecoin which is a very good sign.

Just a reminder guys. http://wdc.hackshardgaming.net is online and running. We need a few large players to adopt our site so that we can get our speed up for the low speed miners like myself.

I am a web developer (php, node js, ruby, mysql, javascript/jquery), what can I do to support this project? So long as it's legal I could contribute quite a lot.

There's already a main website up and running, coin explorer, it's appearing on exchanges... is there anything potentially significant I can do to help?

i think the next 2 step for it to become a success are really down to time
1 stable hashrate
2 get on BTC-e or Vircurex

but it would be nice and useful if you could get a worldcoin version of bitvisitor XD but better

How long does it take for the difficulty to re-target?   The Diff has been 11.5ish since early yesterday when the network has was 3+ GH... we are now at 1.6 GH and have been for the past 12 hrs.   CNC's has yet to retarget and its hash fell off of the world over a week ago, wasn't WDC supposed to have licked that problem with short re-target times? Huh

showing diff dropped to 6.9 on coinchoose.com

So much for suffering the same fate as FTC and CNC when the miners shift away eh?   Very good sign for WDC that it didn't have to sit in limbo for weeks waiting for the difficulty to drop.
