No as of right now Cryptopia has no intention of getting rid of worldcoin.

I was a bit concerned with the rate of development on this coin - it's pretty far behind litecoin and bitcoin, but it doesn't need to be. http://worldcoin.global has been down for a long time and finding information on the coin is super difficult.

I will be putting some effort into modernizing Worldcoin. To start, I've registered http://worldcoin.network and I'll be putting links to the repository on the page. (There's no web page yet, and I'm a terrible front end developer).

The second thing I want to do is to merge the WorldcoinGlobal code changes back into the original worldcoin repo on github, and then begin upgrading the wallet.

The beauty of cryptocurrencies is that you don't need to trust anyone. You can download the source code and build it yourself! (Though I'll admit it's a pain in the ass, I've only got the linux version of the wallet compiling right now).

As I'm updating the wallet, one of the huge issues is that the built in seed nodes are no longer up.

In the WorldcoinGlobal repo, I see the following:

I don't trust your "new" wallet, Olker1. You could have added some hidden backdoors that steal user's wallet or steals all their WDC.

Hello guys, it's Xanur here from the worldcoin global forum and discord.

I'm not good with words and english is not my first language so I will get to the point.

A lot has happened the last couple of years in the history of Worldcoin. We have had our ups and downs (mostly). After the Scharmbeck incident/scam or whatever you want to call it, we lost most of our community members. Some community members tried to pick it up and continue the further development of Worldcoin.

First the Worldcoin Alliance was formed. I don't know the details, but most of the board members disappeared just like the first team. Thankfully Berzeck picked up the project and continued the development of the Worldcoin wallet. As most of you know, Berzeck stepped down in 2017 because of issues with a Chinese group of people.

Berzeck left the Worldcoin protocol mostly untouched, because of disagreement within the community. Because of this the asics/multipools hit us hard and peaks in network difficulty led to an unstable network, too fast or too slow blocktimes etc. Alferz from the Worldcoin Global forum came up with the proposal to fork Worldcoin and use the CryptoNight PoW algorithm as a (temporary) solution. I support this as a temporary solution and decided to work on this as of september.

I want to hear what the community thinks about this, and if there is support from within the community. Keep in mind this is a temporary solution and after the fork is done, I want to come up with a longterm plan for further development.

I am aiming for a fork Q4 this year. However my resources (mostly time) is also limited. Nevertheless development will continue on.

Not to get anyone too excited, but I've finished my refactor of the wallets, and built the linux client.

I'm still working on getting windows and mac builds, and I'll release my source code and wallets when that's done!

I agree, we have to re-build this thing from the ground up.

Please note: WDC is also listed on https://www.nlexch.com/markets/wdcbtc and, as I posted earlier, is still listed on Nova exchange which is re-opening for trading in NOV/DEC.

WDC is also listed on CoinGecko, Blockfolio and Delta; it now needs to be included in their reporting functions, Coingecko Beam, Blockfolio Signal and Delta Direct.  Perhaps one of our new developers can take care of that??

CRYPTONAIRE   You said there are three trading platform, it is very happy, but we must ensure that the three exchanges, and/www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange and http://new.funcoin.co/, use the same wallet, not appear different wallet version, so will lose credit to WDC, and collapse.
