I highly doubt it will overtake the main chain, but that doesnt mean I dont think there will be some value to it long term. I personally will be holding onto my BCC just incase something ends up happening. You never know what could happen. Many of the people who dumped etc regret it now.

The only people that have interest in Bitcoin Cash are traders. Traders by nature have interest in everything that can make them money. If they would find an easy way of making money out of cow manure they would also buy/sell that. I think most of them will jump onboard, just for a quick buck.

No, bitcoin cash can never take place of original bitcoin. I beleive the highest demand of bitcoin would not let it overcome the original but may defeat altcoins in value.
therefore if fork is successful on august 1, bitcoin cash has  only chances to be thrusted in altcoins.

I had hope in bitcoin cash, but it seems like most of the mayor exchanges and wallets will only support normal bitcoin. Therefore I think normal bitcoin will be the biggest.

Due to the controversies of the BIP 91 proposal, Bitcoin mining provider ViaBTC and other supporters are planning a hark fork on August 1st. It will be called Bitcoin Cash with a block size of 8mb.

Now, it would be up to debate whenever this separate chain becomes successful in the future and it gets the attention from major exchanges, businesses, and startups that support Bitcoin.

Do you think Bitcoin Cash might overcome the original Bitcoin we know and love in the future? Or will SegWit2x prevail and render other forks useless?

I would like to know your opinion about this Smiley

I am interested in the Peer-to-Peer. Bitcoin has been slow to develop if Bitcoin cash can step things up they might get ahead.

Bitcoin cash will just be like another alternative coin the is forked from the popular and commonly used bitcoin.

There are news that bitcoin cash don't have that decent price so other are having some predictions that it will not be a big deal. But there are big names that are pushing it through so I think it will be hitting a good place when the time comes. So I think what we are waiting is the SegWit and not the new digital currency.

It wont be easy where the bitcoin cash can overcome the original bitcoin. Even it happens it will not stay for too long where it can overpower bitcoin in volume and its demand. I expect nothing much but might be a good hype at present and just panic among its holders.

Bitcoin Cash is like an Altcoin. There are many Altcoins available in Cryptocurrency market which are better than Bitcoin on technical levels. But they aren't as popular as Bitcoin, reason being the place where Bitcoin is today is hard to achieve by and other cryptocurrency. So would be the case with BCC. BCC doesn't has the potential to beat Bitcoin. Moreover, Bitcoin community isn't very happy with fork and has decided to dump it on 1st August. I don't see any any successful future of BCC.

No, I really don't think so that it will overcome the original. So I do not assume that it will happen. The best will not go down just like that. Bcc will not really top bitcoin. And bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that were created.  It will not go down easily.

Even if a hard fork occurs, then also, bitcoin cash would be just an altcoin and it would not be able to overcome bitcoin.Just as hard fork occured in ethereum and made it split into ethereum and ethereum classic.ETC has no importance when compared to ETH.Just BCC might remain alive for few days giving some extra cash to bitcoin holders and then it would just disappear in due course of time.

I think that the question consider on this post it's wrong, cause after 1 August there will be NO more original Bitcoin, we can talk about what will be the stronger coin, Bitcoin Cash or Bitcoin Segwit, but treat one like the original Bitcoin without any base... If u understand the consequences of segwit, in the sense of changing bitcoin protocol, you cant say anymore original Bitcoin.

PD: Another thing would be discuss about wich is the most similar to the original proposal of Bitcoin...

I have same opinion regarding the bitcoin cash. They are not better than genuine coins. The bitcoin cash is going to attract new traders but not the experts. If it is going to raise all of sudden then will die within no time. I recommend not going after this cash madly. Just focus on real bitcoins in order to have huge profit.

yes you are right the price can overcome the loss soon the bitcoin is just waiting till the date of first august when the bitcoin will increase it will not stop then it will keep on increasing for long time .Holding your bitcoin is very necessary now because if you will sell your bitcoin now a day’s then I think it is not a perfect time for bitcoin to be sold.

It is highly unlikely that bitcoin cash will overcome the original version but you never know how things will go in the future but i am expecting that bitcoin will hold its ground and strive for a better future and i am eagerly waiting to see what will happen this coming week.

Yeah. We'll never know what will happen for sure after Bitcoin Cash emerges, if it will stay in crypto land from now and beyond. If it manages to survive like Ethereum Classic did when it forked, then it could remain actively traded and supported on the markets.

Today is the day in which Bitcoin Cash becomes a reality, so we would have to wait and see what happens after a few months from now, what its price will be. Since the majority of exchanges and service providers have announced that they won't be supporting Bitcoin Cash, perhaps the cryptocurrency would not gain much traction and become left behind other altcoins.

But, if it becomes a success, then it could rise and become the third largest cryptocurrency in market cap. The possibilities are endless. Just my opinion Smiley

BCC will ofcourse cannot compete the real blockchain of BTC but surely it can make its mark and even if you consider it an altcoin, who knows it value may cross the value and volume of the 2nd largest digital currency ETH. I think saving BCC is not a bd idea, as no one knows now where it can go high or low. Also You can get free BCC if you have Bitcoins stored in bittrex.  Wink
