Hi may I ask is Ann thread allowed in  Other languages/locations section ? I remember when I did a translation there couple of months back it got deleted and when I asked in PM the mod told me it is not allowed . But now I see this section have a lot of Ann threads and non of them got deleted . Any info on this!

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Yes you can post ANN threads on other languages. You must see where is the right section, for example. Here in English is on the section "Annoucements Altcoins". In portuguese section is on "Criptomoedas Alternativas. Search for them.

I understand that we can post Ann in other languages I mean can we post in the section called ( Other language/location ) that one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=11.0
This section is for language that have no local section .

This section is for language that have no local section .
In this case no. Translations mostly are posted on Local Threads. It's not allowed on Other language/location. I had a post excluded for the same reason.

Ya me too but when i was checking today i found there is a lot of Ann thread posted there . Got confused . I hope some mod give clear answer here .

Obviously, if you have an Ann post on the language not having its dedicated sections - then you definitely should post it there.

Well that what i thought and did before but then my thread got deleted by mod and he told me that we are not allowed to post Ann threads ( for language that not have local forum ) there .
But now since that section fill with Ann threads I want to know can I post Ann thread there or not  .

As I remember, mods always deleted translated ann  threads in Other languages/locations section. And now we can see message on this bord:

All Local boards - Discussion of various topics in the appropriate language. Posting translated coin announcements is limited to languages that have their own section (a.k.a. dedicated board with sub-boards).

If any approval from your dev is allowed to translate the topic, But if you become a translator, with a very bad english, you should not be a translator
