IMO, at the moment it's not mainstream enough.
Based on twitter, at the moment It's accepted in Fights.Club and Loot.Bet. If there are more sites accepting the skincoin, the value will increase.
The last new is the exchange is "coming soon"

Dev team Not good at communicating with his community they are more focused in their exchange games
No announcements made, ANN never updated, Twitter official just coming soon and While in slack IGOR just say we will release a roadmap (image) no progress can grow for the price of skincoins.
They should have more interaction with the Crypto community ,so gain confidence is not limited to the focus in the development of exchange games

I would have preferred they screenshot the progress of the exchange in actual browser with more than one gui showed, instead of that one pic though.

I agree there should be more advertising, more aggressive approach to introduce the coin to the community.

This project based on something that have real promise. People that played online games will eventually realized that the amount of money circulating among the players is very large. Blizzard's Diablo 3 with their RMAH (closed) is probably the best example how insane it is when the feature to exchange items in game to real money is allowed and encouraged by the publisher, giving it a mainstream venue.

Bittrex won't happen soon. Even in Cryptopia, the demand for this coin is small. It's less than 1 bitcoin buy order, to be precise 0.50631807 (at the moment when this post is written). What the project need is for the investor to have more certainty, The exchange is planned for the end of august, if this really launched, price will go way up. If it didn't launch and the dev failed to explain the reason, trust and price will go down.

Well, price reflects investor's expectation. If they are still convinced that the devs will deliver, then a small delay (or even a bigger one) won't affect the price as much as some would think.
