Copay wallet - enhanced security using 2 of 2 multisignature

Copay wallet might be able to enhance security of transactions, if one is using a wallet that requires  2 of 2  multisignature .

- Can this work where one of the machines is off-line?

- Is multi-signature dependent on Copay servers in a way that could not be recovered if for some reason, sometimes in the future those do not work?

- Are thre other multisignature wallets that provide good support for air-gapped transactions?
