I had one hell of a time getting all of the resources working properly. Not to mention the time spent on Google. While I'm fairly new to all of this Bitcoin business. Right now I'm mining with a strong 320Mhash/s on my HD5870 with GUIminer.

I have about .07 BTC since I started 3 or 4 days ago. If you are feeling generous I would put donations to good use^^ (1Q11r2AZBPxH5bqgaXdnyTsQDtnka5aCh3).

I'm also underway with a new website. I plan to make it a one stop resource for BTC and LTC info as I learn more and more. My focus is rich useful content and ease of use. FYI this is not an ad site. Never will be. The only personal ads I have is in the top banner and the two links that take you to the lists of BTC and LTC pools they only serve to help pay for hosting. Other then that this is a purely content focused website for use by beginners to experts (right now it's more on the beginner side lol.) I even give credit to those who deserve it when I aggregate info from different sources. (I'll make a sort of Citation site to give credit to sources, seems like the polite thing to do.)

You can't really get to the site with any search engines yet cause it is so new. I would post a URL but I don't know if I can yet, since this is my first post.

Thanks for reading, what kind of hash rates are you all getting?

Vike...

Welcome man - newbie as well (at least on here). I think your site idea is an awesome one. There is such a ridiculous amount of information about BTC / LTC / etc. that it's almost taxing to parse through everything. If you could effectively marry the two in a glorious orgy of Crypto Currency romance explosion...veeeerrrryyyyy NAAAIIICCCEEEE (sorry, went Borat on ya) - Do it up!

Any info you have about how you got started mining would also be appreciated.

Cheers bud.

The problem I'm having is I don't want to upset other web-admins by aggregating info from their sites and this one too!
For now when I do take something from a site I restructure the code to make it mine first, then I give credit on a citation page so people can trace info to its source.
I'm still very novice at coding but I am committed to making this site work.

I was introduced to bitcoin mining a while back but I didn't dig deep enough to understand how to mine and what to do with the coins. Then I cam back to it about a week ago. It took and incredible amount of sorting through spam sites, videos, and forums. But I finally got GUIminer working well with my HD5870. With the previous overclock settings I had I was almost pushing in to 400 Mhash/s. But with temps at 89-98 I figured turning it down to save some degrees was smart. Running at 750 mem clock I get 340-350 with no programs running in the window. With a load of 99% and temps hovering at 85c I'm feeling safer mining dedicated 24/7.

Any noobies want to join my triplemining pool? I have a nice 350 Mhash/s to start us off Cheesy
I'm a 24/7 miner btw. So if you join me don't worry about being left mining alone.
