Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Thank you for the share.  This is just one more step in the validation of virtual / crypto-currencies.  What amazes me is how slow businesses and the government react as they did with MP3's.  It's going to be an interesting future for these currencies possibly leading to more freedom for us all.

Just remember how much this hurts the government and their "taxes". Which is why they used CNN to showcase their "Bitcoin Is A Scam" segment. Just keep in mind all news stations are owned by politicians.

With a large company like Google backing an exchange site for digitized currency, it's pretty awesome for the future of other internet currencies as well.
