Bitcoin Value Going Up?

Is anyone else surprised by this? I expected it to go down with all the negative hype surrounding tomorrow. Do you think it has to do with the Segwit agreement or maybe BTC-e refunding it customers (which is amazing by the way).

OR! Does anyone still predict the apocalypse tomorrow? Regardless, I will be holding on to my BTC until the price is much much higher but I'm interested in seeing what the community thinks.

It is a little surprising that the price is rising today. It could be that those that are concerned about August 1 sold or moved their Bitcoins earlier. I moved some Bitcoins off of an exchange about a week ago so I had nothing else I wanted to move or sell today.

The price was rising before 1st August because everyone wanted to buy and stock BTC for getting free BCC. Today the price is increasing as many of the BCC holder are selling it for BTC. Buying activity is increasing. And also there is increase in buying activity because all the FUD is over now.

Actually bitcoin price in the market now is become steady in high value. Also there's no latest update from BCC regarding what happen. But still August 1 so we need to wait until it end.

Its up because everyone is looking to get their BCC/BCH coin, simple. What happens after, who knows.

Its the only logical explanation as to why value keeps going Up, and right now people want to take advantage of the 2 for the price of 1 bitcoin deal that is anticipated to happen come August 1. If current conditions continue we might see $3k before the end of the week 8.

This is actually a twist of the drama that unfolded before our eyes starting weeks ago. Bitcoin has become one of the most interesting cryptocurrency to watch as sometimes it is hard to predict how it can be reacting to things happening in the past many days and the days after.

Who would have thought that the recent announcement on BitcoinCash (BCH) can instead produce a healthy effect on the real Bitcoin? Right now, the value is rising in the face of August 1! Nobody predicted that it would be like this. People have been expecting that Bitcoin can go down as we near the said date instead Bitcoin defied the odds and is now going up.

In my opinion, BitcoinCash (BCH) and Bitcoin (BTC)  are now actually two good best friends and lets allow them to both enjoy the sweetness of their own history.

I think people are really anticipating a good market run after the Aug 1 that why  they are stashing bitcoin. It could probably be others want to get the more free BCC or BCH in their wallet. But I guess they will suddenly dump in and change to BTC again. I'm speculating just a small dip after Aug 1 but knowing bitcoin, it will recover and bounce for more.

I'm also surprised to see the price movement today. Bitcoin price is really unpredictable but we have to understand that it is driven by speculation, people that are buying have their own motives to it, but once things for sure, the future of bitcoin is bright and yes, we can really expect a big increase in price at the end of the year making everyone very happy.

Well just today bitcoin's price hit $2800 and I hope it will rise more after the segwit2x.
But I think its too early now to predict as we should expect more as this day ends.
There will be more to happen like the split is not yet happening so better wait and watch.

The price is rising because everyone wants to get Bitcoin, so they get their "free" Bitcoin Cash.
This also explains the drop in price of Alts, as people sell Alts for the same reason.

Guess what is going to happen after the fork, when they don't need their Bitcoin anymore.
 
But I think the wise choice is to ride out any small dip, and gain the benefits of the Segwit locking and activation that is coming up.

Whatever may happen with bitcoin tomorrow but I'm not going to loose the hopes. I'm holding on to bitcoin completely and with firm plans. It is going up then that's the awesome feeling ever. But if bitcoin by any means gets dumped tomorrow then also I will hold on bitcoin because I have faith that it will rise again with more potential than before. By the way peace to BCC too, no offence. :-)

The price moved backwards at $2,700 I have seen that it went $2,800 a while ago but as I check it, the price went back to $2,700. This is just a normal price movement we are still in the dust and let's just wait after all the dust settles. We'll see a skyrocket that is going to fly up to the moon and bitcoin is on the board.

As I observe the exchanges earlier I saw almost green and Im happy in what Im seeing. A good sign  of a better tomorrow. Just hoping bitcoin continue to increase as we all anticipating.
So just hold our bitcoin tight, refrain from deposits and withdrawals for not to lose your coins. I know everyone is excited by this historic event of bitcoin, so lets wait for what is next.

I think it's the fact that bitcoin cash futures value have been sliding, and people seem optimistic now that there seems to be no real issues presenting itself on 1st August which is really hyped about and had everyone worrying.

As to the apocalypse, probably not going to happen. Just completely impossible if you ask me, unless bitcoin cash gains like 100% more followers overnight then no, bitcoin price will not go down.

Remember that forks are good for bitcoin, a lot has been said about the negative side of forks(community division etc.) but in the end, forks are beneficial for the bitcoin ecosystem as software gets upgraded and it can scale.

There was nothing written of Bitcoin value going up or down upon activation though BTC has always been fluctuating and it was normal. I was not expecting it to increase but some said it will decrease after the split, hopefully after the split this day bitcoins value will increase and reach a new ath by this month.

Why Bitcoin value going up because they bought Bitcoin to get free Bitcoin cash like someone stated earlier and because that thing, it also affect to Bitcoin price and make the price going up again. But, we don't know what would happen after Hardfork successful.

I think now the price of bitcoin will start to increase because people are now selling their bitcoin cash and they are buying more bitcoin with that money with that the demand now of bitcoin has been increased much more and the price will start again increasing.

Bitcoin value has been going up and down within certain price limit. Several trading platforms have come up with more trading pairs BCH/BTC and several other forms. The future bitcoin cash is moving forward with stability and now it is close to $400, maybe this could cause a fall in the network but no impacts were observed over bitcoin's value.

While waiting for the effect of August 1 I found that bitcoin almost reach $3000 but after that now it going back to $2800 well maybe they increase the value a while ago because transactions for deposits and withdrawals were disable so whether it increases no one can sell their coins and now it back to normal so they also bring back the value to normal...some sort of promotions so that people will sell their coins and the demand will go up..

The fact is that Bitcoin discharge can only be when there is a danger of losing your investment. But for today we have already made sure that no problems with crypto currency can occur. And even bifurcation does not give any effect, because with this too users can cope without problems.
