I am trying to setup a second masternode following this guide:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1m0YQVE-9CP_pLNKyMwQNMSj1QYOTbR0AKi_zjF7P8Hg/edit

but it doesn't work, wallet tries to download the whole blockchain again...

it should synchronize. because now the node will be located in another directory.

Correct, second wallet is creating new file so it has to download ands sync it. Other option is to copy blockchain file from the first wallet folder.

Can't you just have two masternodes in the same wallet? If I'm going to the masternode tab in the wallet I see that it is possible to add masternodes. In fact I've tried, and the only result is that the first masternode has stopped to work.

No you can't. They have to be on separate folders and have their own files, hence why you have to add -datadir attrib to shortcut for second masternode.

Thanks, I will try that. Now I've got another problem, after moving some staked coins out of the first masternode's address, which are necessary to build the second one, the first masternode has stopped to function. When I'm trying to launch it I'm getting a message: "Error could not allocate vin". I have exactly 50,000 coins at that address now.
Moreover, even though I'm unlocking the wallet, after a while I find out it has locked itself again, without any action from my side. But this problem I have noticed already for a long time.

I have solved the problem by re-doing from scratch both masternodes, and for both applying instructions on how to make multiple masternodes. At first it didn't work, even though I had exactly 50,000 on a single address as required, but I had send them to that address in two times. So I have then re-done it once more sending the 50,000 coins in one single time and then the masternode worked. I have mentioned it here so that people setting up a masternode wouldn't repeat my mistake. In the instructions it is not specified that you have to make one single transfer of the coins.

Good to hear that you get it working. Yeah, maybe we need new more accurate instruction for newcomers, or even better - a video tutorial.

NOVAEXCHANGE NO CLOSE. Therefore you can continue trade MTNC on NOVA

FROM SITE:

"We are happy to announce that we have found a new partner that is willing, experienced, and able to carry on running Nova Exchange.
So.The show will go on! More information will follow. In the meantime, keep on trading crypto.
Best Wishes to you all!  "

This is good news but we have to be sure that it's still safe to trade there after the takeover bcoz it is hard to trust anybody nowadays in Cryptos

Exactly, wait with deposits or ask support before depositing any coins to Nova right now. Many people scream for help on social media channels. Pending deposits for some coins. Looks like they have issues with some wallets. I think they wanted to stop and don't bothered to update and maintain some smaller coins wallets and now after the announcement, many people jumped back to trade at Nova and now they have a problem.

I advise waiting with deposits to Nova before users confirm trading, deposits and withdrawals working without problems.

A video tutorial would probably be the best option. And another issue that should be addressed is the fact that on some computers the wallets stop to run the masternodes now and then and they have to be relaunched manually. I'm saying on some computers since on one of mine computer it happens and on the other one doesn't. Big mystery.

Yeah, I'm familiar with stopping MN problem, and searched for solution every possible page on this topic. Still haven't found how to fix this, and since it looks like random error it may be wallets' fault.

if you expect to run 2 nodes:
unpack the chain archive into a folder, for example: E:\Masternodecoin
unzip the client (ver.2.0) in the same place according to the instructions "to raise several Masternodes on one IP": http://goo.gl/q78aqU

if one node - then unzip the chain at C:\Users\YOUR_COMP\AppData\Roaming\Masternodecoin and follow the instructions: http://goo.gl/EuzaRV

NOTICE: COMPLETE CLIENT SYNCHRONIZATION. LATER ADJUSTING THE NODE.
DO NOT FORGET TO NECESSARY line IN THE FILE masternodecoin.conf

masternodeaddr = YOUR_IP: YOUR_PORT
masternode = 1
externalip = YOUR_IP: YOUR_PORT
masternodeprivkey = YOUR PRIVKEY

I advise waiting with deposits to Nova before users confirm trading, deposits and withdrawals working without problems.
Should be careful and keep money in our pockets before thinking about any potential trading orders. Keep money and earn income when opportunities come to us. No need to take risks!
Earning money from hardship life, then investing them easily into scam projects, scam exchanges (or unsafe ones) are not smart decisions. I highly recommend to wait for few days to see more updated news from the exchange's owners.

Dear MTNC supporters,

As ideaupdater stated, you should do both voting and commenting because doing both of them will help to make bigger impression, that can help MTNC catch more attentions from above exchanges owners.

Please voting and commenting about MTNC project after voting.

I just had to a do a quick reinstall of the wallet and wanted to thank devs for having a blockchain snapshot on the OP. This really saves some time and is an example for other projects. Well done Masternodecoin!
