I have some great news to share! I have received confirmation we can put our skepticism to rest in regards to our Kenya relief efforts! Everything checks out legit!

... I have seen their project [Faulu Productions] growing from a small volunteering art group, to a community based organization that is now helping fellow refugees in the Kakuma camp...

This comes from an Executive Director at Solidarity & Advocacy with Vulnerable Individuals in Crisis (SAVIC) based in Washington, D.C.

I would like to offer this as proof the EGC Foundation goes through great lengths to spend any contributions wisely. This information was gathered before ever asking for a penny from the community. This and much other research went into verifying validity of claims. Let's be honest, who has not received a scam email from a refugee camp or similar? We all have.

I am so very excited to push that inherit skepticism to the side and move forward with this very honorable project and help some people that are in need! Very excited! Please do understand it took many hours of communications and research by both Bow and I to get to this point. I am so excited that was not lost time and our diligence paid off. Of course, raising funds for a scam could have been devastating to the community's trust that is greatly treasured.

I have been jotting progression notes at https://evergreencoin.org/kakuma-refugee-camp-relief/ and we have several videos posted. I apologize that it is not organized better. Now, time freed from researching and skepticism, we can move forward! The tshirts should arrive next week. We will move forward with our plans to raise the funding to employ refugee camp occupants building desks to be used by other refugee camp in their just-being-built learning center. This is very much subject to change but, I anticipate that funding target to be $600 to $1000. This comes from information gathered to seat 60 students, which was the requested number of desks by Lyama and Faulu Productions.

Don't trade on yobit its just scam and will never upgrade their Wallet. First inform yourself before starting trading on an exchange. If you look Into the yobit ANN you will see that all say its scam. Don't just put your Money in an exchange without research and Block checking !

Yes, you certainly can still earn PoS after encryption. But you do need to unlock the wallet to stake. You will not be staking by 'default' after encryption as soon as the software loads. Not until you unlock. You can unlock for staking only and still have protection of your OS being compromised. The password would be needed again to make any send transaction. Take note you do need to unlock for staking and spending for staking for charity to work, but the wallet now alerts you to that condition if you try.

No, you do not need to be running 24/7. At minimum, please stake for 12 hours every 30 days to be certain the 7% annual holds true. More often is recommended and would be needed for lower balances (sub 100 EGC) because 12 hours might not be enough. Anytime you are staking, you are helping the network to achieve more consistent block times. That is appreciated.

I'm not sure that controlled inflation is necessarily an issue - In everyday life the prices of things go up so your coins have to go further.

From some quick sums 7% on the current number of coins would lead to just under 1m coins generated over the next year, however considering we've only gained half that number of coins in the 18 months since the end of PoW the actual growth is much lower (maybe only 2-3%).

You don't have to have your PC on all the time, just once in a few days to get the 7% yearly.
